This is why I support gay male spaces excluding women and lesbian spaces excluding men, because that way those "queer" heterosexuals will not be able to takeover our spaces. Exactly, same here. I don’t even feel comfortable going into men’s bars as a lesbian even if I’m with male friends. First of all, there’s men in there, I’m not interested at best and at worst I’m intimidated. Secondly, men don’t want women in their bars. Otherwise they’d just go to a normal straight bar. It’s common fucking sense.

I wouldn’t feel comfortable going into a genuine lesbian bar, because those spaces are for lesbians and bisexual women and I would feel intrusive being in there. I’d also feel uncomfortable being in a fake lesbian bar because of the queer ideology being strong.

Because being accepted into the all inclusive group is meaningless. Getting accepted into the highly exclusive group means you're special. For example, joining your middle school softball team means little while joining the NHL means you're good. The only problme here is that this person doesn't belong in the NHL and barely belongs on a middle school softball team

As a gay man in his fifties, probably about the same age as the poster here, I'm going to be a little kinder. I remember having the same fear of HIV/AIDS back then because it was, at the time, pretty much a death sentence. I'd be lying if I said living through that time didn't leave its mark on me. And, yes, some gay men do engage in a lot of sex. Guilty as charged. We're men. I understand what John Rechy meant when he coined the word 'sexhunt.'

That said, I don't think this person's chances are very good, knowing my own demographic. I know what men look for in 50-something gay men, and many gay men my age are not interested in FTMs. Older FTMs are also less likely to have what some younger gay men into older gay men are looking for.

So, I'd say don't get your hopes up . . .
