Totally. As a lesbian, I've learned this the hard way. I don't trust women. They're capable of doing lots of things only for attention or ego boosting.

Being a lesbian will make you see many women complicated, egocentrict, demanding shitty attitude in sexual matters, and realize lots of things men say about women are true, there is more chances of getting into misogyny and general mistrust of female sex, that wouldn't happen if you were hetero. I mean, I love women. But I guess, you can empathize with men more, if you're a woman who have to deal with women.

For me it was the opposite experience, I started to see that women are just like any other human and that all humans are humans, not that we are special or that men are special.

And I started to understand that majority of what is told in society and mostly by men about women - is in most cases just lie and stereotypes, or caused by trauma enforced on them by society.

There are some women who are incredibly amazing and are worth 10 women put together, like you, for example. But I might be not lucky enough to get them

That is also why some gay men are hostile towards men, or at least side with women against men, because they have had bad experiences with men or they know what it’s like to date a man. Being gay does incline you to take a critical look at your own sex.

Then you realize that people in general suck,and what makes good or bad in the end is their character, not sex. It's difficult though, because when I was younger I idealized women as some perfection, well, I idealized the left as perfect too. Then you get old and see the truth

I suppose it is from where you are coming. You idealized and then met reality.

I am coming from opposite position - I believed in all stereotypical BS, and those stereotypes were beaten into me with economical and physical hits. I thought most women and some men are just worst of the worst, but then learned that most people aren't bad, and that main issue is not people themselves, I found out that even worst people can have reasoning and that many people are making bad things just because they don't know those things are bad - most people wanting to be "good people" and to be "correct and right". As someone said "even kindest people are turning into monsters when fed with misinformation".

So I went from thinking the worst to thinking better about women. While for you it was the opposite.

This is my experience and I agree with this. However, being more critical of women doesn't mean misogynysm at all.
