First of all, the teacher is a jerk and should get fired. Second of all,

Is it just me or are children treating genders and sexualities like trading cards. It’s like Pokémon where it’s cool to collect them all and the more rare or unique your personal identity is the better. Makes me feel like a grumpy old man to care about this but these are middle schoolers that hardly know what sex is. Crazy.

The irony is that almost all those pride flags are "heteros rule" flags. Straight pride is already a thing. You just have rebrand it as demisexual or hetero-romantic asexual or afab androsexual or queer/kink.

I did a little poking and the original message is written in yellow chalk, so it would appear that it was added to highlight the message.
