I feel so sorry for satirists in 2021. All the good jokes are taken.

People have taken to calling the Babylon Bee "tomorrow's news."

Honestly, who needs television anymore. You can’t make up some of the shit you see.

Oh, and what about this dude himself? Is HE getting matches with other fem guys who are in drag on their profiles? PRESS X TO DOUBT

Funny how it's "masc-obsessed superficiality" when normal gay men are seeking each other... but not when the mutant-Barbie-Doll woman-'toon genderspeshul gay men are seeking them!

It’s funny, but it doesn’t surprise me. These types of gay men bitch and moan about masculinity, but they want it so much. They crush on straight men all the time, after all. These types of gay men believe that if you can’t stand them, then you must hate all gay men, because they think that they are gayer than all these gay men they want to have sex with.

Never understand people who think that there are "levels" of being gay and that you can rank people on "gayness"...

These people see gayness as a personality.

I looked him up. This is only the tip of the iceberg. He's a writer for British film and television, which probably explains why so much British screenwriting has gone downhill over the last few years, obsessed with political messaging. He's deep into gender ideology. He uses plural pronouns.

Edit: Also, guy who obviously spends hours doing his pastel fright-wig and circus-clown makeup bitches about other gay men being superficial. I don't know . . . how about just not deliberately making yourself unattractive?

So the trans say attraction is based on gender, but then this guy is saying, ignore my gender presentation, because I am still male sexed? Contradiction? or are we just supposed to be attracted to the words men and women?

Remember on the old Star Trek when they cause a computer to have a nervous breakdown by trying to make it resolve contradictory data? That's how this shit makes me feel.

Our dicks are not civil rights. Whether we’re into masculine males or feminine males is nobody else’s business.

this is too fucking funny. people like this..ESPECIALLY people like this are creepy degenerates OBSESSED with a hyper masculine man. He's like a fat activist who would never in a million years touch another fat person but claims discrimination that no skinny person would fuck him. "god, gay cis men are exhausting"...uh huh. So why are you exclusively pursuing them and not your own kind? Why are you pretending you're some sort of delicate bottom woman? Why are you so exhausting that you'd ignore all the bottom feminine ones with rainbow coloured wigs? And it's funny because in the homosexual world, you can throw this answer at them: "would YOU fuck someone like YOU? NO? Then shut up".

The best part of this is that everything about that selfie is superficiality. When you blast someone with your over-the-top plumage in this way you are denying them an opportunity to glimpse anything but your very loud, needy, narcissistic shell. That is the epitome of superficial.

[–]MBMayfair 9 insightful - 3 fun9 insightful - 2 fun10 insightful - 3 fun -  (3 children)

Ha, "plumage" is the perfect word here! This guy looks like a bowl of sherbet. Yeah, dude, there's a difference between walking into the bar with your date and being noticed, and walking into the bar with your date and being a spectacle. Lots of people aren't into that second one.

[–]JulienMayfair 4 insightful - 6 fun4 insightful - 5 fun5 insightful - 6 fun -  (2 children)

This guy looks like a bowl of sherbet.

Or crashed his head into a cotton candy machine.

They're not "masc-obsessed", they just don't want the unecessary baggage of dealing with- whatever that is...

"It was part of the deal!"

I've personally nothing against more feminine styles of dress, but I wouldn't like ridiculous peacocky costumes like this that distract and cover up too much of the male figure. What natural physical aspects of him are people supposed to be drawn to here? He's gotta ask himself what he likes to see from other men, and perhaps apply it to himself. I get a feeling it's not this adornment-fest.

[–]JulienMayfair 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

I don't find tons of makeup attractive on anyone, men or women. If you read up on this guy, he states openly that he has a history of psychological distress, and he claims that drag "healed him." He definitely has trauma from being from an Iraqi background and having his mother being extremely upset at his being gay. Like a lot of these people, he's trying to turn dealing with his own issues into some external sociopolitical program.

[–]wafflegaffWoman. SuperBi. 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Yes. The people who are prone to pathological narcissism. They have unhealthy coping mechanisms which are costly to those around them.

And, drag clearly didn't heal him, it just gave him a way to express symptoms even more visibly.

[–]JulienMayfair 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

At the core, narcissists try to feel better about themselves by pretending to be something else. The central coping mechanism is, "Don't look at me. Look at this other thing I pretend to be!" All the other coping mechanisms follow from that.

The paradox is that in "expressing themselves," they're really showing us how much they don't like themselves.

[–]wafflegaffWoman. SuperBi. 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yes. That's the saddest part.

They don't understand their own value without all the pomp and circumstance. They think it isn't there.

[–]MarkJeffersonTight defenses and we draw the line 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Well, that certainly explains it. The dress is an outlet for him and many others. And admittedly people from both sides can overlook this widespread pattern among drag queens, settling on judgements of "progressive!" or "degeneracy!". I saw neither but a ton of emotional baggage hiding under all that garishness. It's an outburst; A tantrum, like wafflegaff said.

[–]wafflegaffWoman. SuperBi. 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

He's dressed like a tantrum. You are far more charitable (or subtly facetious) than I; I can't even take that part seriously.
