Ever since I found out about asexuality, which fit my experience, I was sooooo disappointed once I checked the community and saw this crap. Nowadays I kinda know why this happened - see how similar it is to expansion of transgender meaning. So that's why also asexuality meaning is similarly muddy and unclear this way. Not to mention what TQ+ is doing to the meaning of homosexuality as well.

In my opinion the true asexual feels no attraction (sexual+romantic), has no sexual fantasies and isn't favorable of sex (I think they don't have to be necessary repulsed but so called sex-positive asexuals are laughable). Man, we need a sort of truscum/transmed form of asexual community... TruAce?

I agree about the true asexual. From what I've understood, asexuals fell no attraction whatsoever. Asexuals are out there, but the real asexuals are rare.

"I'm only attracted sometimes."

This is why people who claim to be gray-ace/demi annoy me. You don't deserve a special label or brownie points for experiencing sexual attraction sometimes. That's called being normal. They think the rest of us are constantly masturbating in our free time and can't keep our hands to ourselves. Gray-ace/demi (and pan too) are so pretentious.

It's kind of assuming that people are attracted to everyone who is attractive to them, i.e. gay men are attracted to all men, not just those who are attractive to them.

The only way to make themselves seem good is to make everyone else seem worse. Their lives are so sad and pathetic that they must resort to bullying to give their life any form of meaning

Who knew there were so many ways to not be interested in something.

This is the result of the culture of absolute inclusion among woke students today. Refusing to genuinely and enthusiastically believe in someone's self-declared identity, no matter how ridiculous, is the ultimate sin; if someone wants to identify with a particular label or be part of a particular community, then that label/community must be redefined in order to accommodate them.

Oh, unless that self-declared identity is exclusive same-sex attraction, of course.

Queer theory is literally based entirely on mind-numbing semantics.

Shouldn't that be "there are many types of non attractions"?

This is too confusing/nonsensical to help people understand asexuality. Lacking sexual attraction/desire/feelings is simple to understand (although I personally don't believe adults naturally lack sexual desire). But when they bring this spectrum bullshit into it... it's no longer asexuality.

Except libido can determine whether you look at someone and feel an urge to become sexual with them. If you're horny af, then you might look at all sorts of people and feel an urge to have sex with them, but if your libido is low for whatever reason, then you may be able to look at your own romantic and sexual partner without being capable of feeling the urge to have sex with them. Those characteristics are all connected and influece each other, you can't cut out one thing to say is sexuality and absolutely nothing else is.
