This is why I gave up on Voat. The other extreme is still toxic.

Homosexuality is not all that well understood. We are a small minority of the population, roughly 3% at the most. And you won’t know if someone is gay unless this person outright says so, or possess stereotypical characteristics such as a lisp or a limp wrist. Doesn’t help that a lot of gay people in the media perpetuate these stereotypes. Also doesn’t help that religious texts are often interpreted as condemning homosexuality. In the context of Christianity, the commandant that forbids adultery has been interpreted by a lot of Christians to forbidding all premarital sexual activity. Then you have the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. There are Christians who don’t care if you’re gay and don’t see it as a sin, as long as you’re not being promiscuous or irresponsible, but a lot of homophobic Christians will use their religion to justify their homophobia. Islam and Judaism also condemn homosexuality.

And have you noticed how excessively this LGBT stuff has been promoted lately? Rainbows everywhere? Pride months (one day is enough)? Drag queen story hour? I’m all for promoting acceptance, but in countries like America, Canada and Britain, homosexuality is being treated as a good thing and in actual fact it is a neutral thing. It doesn’t hurt anyone but it doesn’t lead to reproduction either. And all this promotion is doing is making wider society resent us. Yes, we should be accepted by society and allowed to live our lives. But we don’t reproduce, like straight people do. No condemnation or promotion, just let us homosexuals have our communities. Treat homosexuality like being left-handed. But soulless corporations insist on all this pride stuff because they want to virtue signal.

Of course, there is no excuse to be calling for the extermination of homosexuals and bisexuals. But sites like Voat and Ruqqus attract the alt right. And the problem with the alt right is that it attracts s-p-e-r-g-s. I have to use hyphens, because I’m not sure if I can use this word without my comment getting deleted. But that’s the best word to describe these people. Any slight imperfection will set these people off. They see sex solely as a means for procreation - if it’s done for pleasure, they will see it as a vice. Homosexual sex is only done for pleasure. If you have a vice, you are irredeemable in their eyes, because they see everything in black and white. But what these people don’t understand is that everybody has a vice. I love chocolate - I know it’s not good for me, but I can’t live without it. But I do limit myself to 100g of chocolate per day except for special occasions so that I can consume chocolate in moderation. Alcohol is another vice and can ruin your life, but if you limit yourself to three pints of beer on a night out with your mates and also drink water, you’re not doing any harm. Likewise, sex is fine if you only do it with your partner/spouse, or if you don’t allow sex to dominate your life. But these alt-right types cannot seem understand that, even though a lot of these same purity spiralling absolutists watch a lot of porn. Some of these people also used to be degenerates themselves, and now they want to overcompensate for their past degeneracy. But they take it to such an extreme degree, that they end up hurting people again, like how they used to hurt people when they were degenerates. But for most of these s-p-e-r-g-s, it’s just a matter of everything being black and white and not being able to handle the complications that come with life. But let them have their spaces to s-p-e-r-g themselves out in. It’s a catharsis for them. As long as they let us have our own spaces.
