I agree that ideology can't change peoples sexualities. But a culture that has ideas about sex and gender being fluid and based on feelings will lead to people being confused about who they really are, leading to things like homosexuals thinking they are in the wrong body, and heterosexual identifying as homosexuals of the opposite sex. I don't think ideology is going to change peoples sexualities.

Saying heterosexuality is a thin veneer is silly. You are using an example of a very small number of people, most of whom were never straight. Where are all these straight people with their sexualties breaking apart? Straight people aren't threatened by whatever it is you are calling queer culture. I'll just go on living my normal boring monogamous hetero life.

I looked at your profile. Youre mature enough to have not even participated in any of this stuff and grew up being validated. I wasnt even aware you're a heterosexual but heterosexuals now outnumber gays and lesbians and possibly even bisexuals within their own communities and they identify as transexual gays or lesbians. And straight men who identify as lesbians really are just straight men. I think its mostly gays and lesbians being overwhelmed by the sheer numbers flooding into their community.

And I think that is a direct result of queer theory, and this idea that gender and sex are fluid, and also weirdly a confused idea of strict gender roles.

I agree that straight men identifying as lesbians really are just straight men, I think the problem is the woke idea that everyone's whims and fancies are valid. The whole idea of being validated or being valid is stupid.

I dont think a single one of these people have read up on or were influenced by queer theory. It's a ridiculously wordy complicated and highly abstract ideology. It cant inspire them. All thats happening is that these people are coming into gay/lesbian spaces and acting out the trauma that comes with their misogyny and homophobia that gays and lesbians worked very hard to get rid of. This happened even before queer theory, which is still an important ideology to understanding the idea of human sexuality. They've just appropriated it. But their identities are a broken disaster that they've just learned to hide. Homosexuals have been down this road. "Im a woman but im sexually dominant towards men...i MUST be a gay man" "Im a man and i secretly like incredibly feminine things and degrading myself and getting off on it...i'll degrade myself by dressing like a woman..i MUST be a lesbian". I guess it just reveals that what heterosexual society used to push on to gays and lesbians with the transexualism to heal "gender dysphoria" is induced within heterosexuals as well. It's just that they've never been free to talk about it until the gay community gave them the space to. The whole point of the gay community was to teach gays/lesbians : Your sex doesnt have to match a certain gender. You can be a feminine gay man or think in this way and not be a woman. And society was OBSESSED with convincing gay men theyre either secretly women or theyre imitating women... even when they were 3 years old and their parents could detect "he's not like the other boys".

I don't think people need to read any of this to believe or think they are true. Critical theory and post modern nonsense has infected liberal arts in universities for a long time, all of the "studies" courses are full of ot, I am taking education courses now and it's quite prevalent but low key. It has been seeping into our culture for years.

how does it seeping into universities affect your 5 year old child when they recall they've always had the feeling of "being in the wrong body" when most people who say theyre transexual admit to feeling "off" when theyre as young as 5 or 6. I doubt theyre being influenced by university culture. Heterosexualism isnt just a sexuality, they try to turn it into an ideology and all it does is cause this dysphoria. I highly doubt the straight men and women who do this to themselves are so different from the gay and lesbian people who feel gender dysphoria. Are the heterosexuals perverts and get off on it sometimes? Sure..but thats mainly because theyre a highly damaged, isolated people with no community to help them so they slowly become perverts. But thats from trauma and isolation. Heterosexualism causes gender dysphoria. Queer theory just studies heterosexuals. Thats it. You keep pretending that queer theory exists in a vacuum and everything straight people do is just as nature intended. But you suddenly dont have this opinion when it comes to "the natural order of the inferiority of women"..suddenly you bring out your big ol book of feminism because obviously feminism is meant to study the ideology called patriarchy. Feminism is to patriarchy as queer theory is to heterosexualism. You're purposefully ignoring the ideology that causes the gender dysphoria and queer theory certainly wasnt present in iran where they chop of gay people's dicks to turn them into women for their allah.

You are putting words into my mouth that I have never said. I never said anything at all about what straight people do is fine and according to nature.

Gender dysphporia is not in my opinion a result of heterosexualism, it is a result of strict gender roles, that is what we should be aiming to change in my opinion. And sure those gender roles are caused in part due to heterosexual being the norm.

As for feminism I think some types of it have the same problem as queer theory and all the other "studies" programs, its critical theory and postmodernism, with a little bit of Marxism thrown in for good measure.
