I knew it was a social contagion when I started to observe online how many people following me had listed trans or non-binary in their bios. Half of them at least.

Absolutely. Transpeople are supposedly less than 0,3% of the population........... yet they seem to make 50% of the population now. It's a textbook case of mass hysteria, and not even the weirdest one. Just the biggest - probably due to the internet.

Of course it is social contagion. Trans people are lauded to the ends of the earth for being brave and stunning, all the homophobic parents are so ecstatic at the idea of them not having a gay child anymore whilst still being "woke", everything about transition is sold as the eternal fix for all the BDD and self-esteem issues that young people go through, "queer culture" is idealised and envied, horny teens can live out their fantasies, the idea of permanently destroying your body is brushed over, all of your internal conflicts are now perfectly explained as "dysphoria", and you can happily ignore the harsh reality that oh so unfortunately exists.

All you have to do is take the magic hormone pills. To a depressed teen, is there any better deal?

Also explain detrans folks that then transition again. Almost as if they had some real mental issues or something.

When girls see their "rolemodels" it's no wonder they decide to be men. You really don't think the Kardashians ruined culture?

It made it ok for ugly ass men to become stunning women of the year and normal young women were turned into plastic asses with lips.

Yeah turn off your tvs... or burn them lmao.

To be fair I always hate to see to be presented with girls my age full on make up, thinking about their looks, chasing after boys and having no personality in movies, whose target I was as a growing up as a teen. I always related better to male characters even if they were just background characters and main characters were girls/women. We do a shit job a showing just a good female role model for girls.

Same! I've always related more to male characters than female characters, growing up. And my sexuality is straight line an arrow.

I think this is a problem a lot of little girls have. If you're an energic, assertive little girl, and you grow up lacking a strong role-model in media, and being constantly presented with passive and objectified models, in a society that says women have to be passive and compassionate and quiet....... it's no wonder you may believe you're "trans". Just because you don't conform to the stereotype.

I wonder how many of them do so because of losing their friends/community, too.

West is not the best. Western civilisation is just plain evil and hideous.

It’s a stupid trend, that’s all , when being trans Is going to be an outdated trend, all they are going to feel at their actions, is shame

Some of them will feel lifelong regret
