The men? About half. The women? The vast majority are straight. They don't think this discrepancy is at all relevant.

The fact that half of them are exclusively same-sex attracted (practically all of them when only looking at the non-white ones), which is way more than the general population, doesn't phase them. Also almost all the desisters are gay too, who outnumber the ones who don't desist. It's clear as day a phase in gay kids without role models, but the trans cult focuses on the exceptions to hide that fact.

A "trans kid" is more often then not a gay kid.

This was my uneducated assumption. Thanks.

Great question. If we're talking about natal males, you're looking at roughly 30% that are motivated by social-moderation (boys don't play with dolls) of their inherent gender non-conformity--who will grow up to be interested in men. Nobody has yet collected the exact data on natal females, and that is a moving target, but if you follow the Tavistock statistics, for instance, it is overwhelmingly ROGD/Adolescent-onset.

Does that satisfy your inquiry?

There's another issue of non-trans "queers" who are LARPing, honestly. Call a spade a spade. People LARP my sexuality, all the time. It's cool. It's trendy. It's special. This calls such attention to how many people don't have meaningful things going on in their lives--and we're all searching for that.

30% of males who transition or 30% of males who are motivated by social-moderation?

30% of males who transition

great response thank you

I should've specified that I guess I'm slightly more interested in the Qs (feels too dirty for me to use that word) than the Ts in this question.

I want to know your take as to what percentage of younger people that identify as trans/queer/xyz that legit feel like they're supposed to be another gender vs the amount of people the same age that are just gay or lesbian or confused

To me, these groups are the same, or at least have such considerable overlap they can be thought of as the same. A young person who truly believes they are the opposite sex is most likely homosexual, dysphoric, and confused. Particularly young lesbians. There are cases where young straight girls who have experienced sexual trauma may adopt a trans identity in order to distance themselves from their femaleness, and I consider that to be a case of true dysphoria. But overall if someone is truly dysphoric, they are more than likely LGB, struggling with internalized homophobia, and confused about what their sexuality and possible gender nonconformity means.

The real question I think is how many young people are truly dysphoric vs how many are adopting a trans status for woke points (nonbinaries, agenders, demiboys, demigirls, etc) vs how many are doing it for fetish reasons (i.e 'gay' transmen and transbians). Regarding these three groups I think the latter two make up the majority because they are the ones coming out of the woodwork, preaching on twitter about how normal human sexuality is transphobic, and getting laws changed to validate themselves.

If the question becomes 'is there such a thing as someone being true trans in the sense that they have the brain of one sex and the body of another?' my personal feelings are no. There is no such thing as 'true trans'. Because if there is such a thing as true trans then it follows that thought patterns are always 100% of the time tied to a person's sex. Brains are mosaics and most people have a combination of neural pathways, none of which are inherently masculine or feminine. Even if brains were sexed, that wouldn't make anyone trans. A woman with a 'male like' thinking pattern is not a man the same way a woman with PCOS or hirsutism and has a male like facial hair growth pattern is not a man.

I think the closest thing to someone being 'truly trans' is someone with such crippling dysphoria that transitioning is the only way for them to find relief. But they still aren't 'meant to be' the opposite sex any more than someone who commits suicide from depression is 'meant to be' dead. It's unfortunate and tragic in either case because both are situations where a person was unable to get the help they needed to love themselves. I get that some people are beyond help in either case, but at least with depression people understand that it's a disorder that needs treating. Gender dysphoria on the other hand is not treated. It is encouraged.

Race+sex is the main factor. Black+female, such as myself, is likely to be a lesbian identifying as a man, although I've seen two black females who were "gay trans men" on news sites and in amateur porn (filmed in her bedroom). I live near Atlanta where the black LGBT+ population is diverse... black "transbians" and black "gay trans men" aren't around though.

Some of the men you saw in the wine bars were probably autogynephiles. Autogynephilia is a sexual paraphilia that a surprising % of men have (I think it's 3% in the US, but don't quote me), and for whatever reason, these men tend to lean politically conservative.

Autogynephiles get sexually aroused by the thought of themselves as women. Some also get aroused by humiliating women - invading spaces where women are naked or vulnerable for example.

Some of the powerful men pushing gender ideology in the US are autogynephiles, and many of the men who will take advantage of the Equality Act, and similar legislation that will allow any man into women's spaces, will be autogynephiles.

It is incredibly unfair to women that their safe spaces are going to be invaded by men with a sexual paraphilia, part of which is about humiliating women.

I might focus on the word 'confused' and argue that it goes deeper than that. In many cases, these are kids that are genuinely experiencing real psychological distress -- of some sort. But due to the information they are being presented, they seize on the idea that all their problems stem from being trans, so the treatment is transition.

The problem is that though they experience temporary relief from the novelty of transition, it's not a permanent solution. In a way, it's a potent distraction.

I'm in my fifties, and literally for the first half of my life, I met no trans people whatsoever. Gay men and lesbians were always around. Now large numbers of kids are suddenly identifying as trans. That's not an organic development. Something has caused it.

Abigail Shrier (the woman who testified so forcefully for sanity at the Equality Act Senate Judiciary Committee hearing) book IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE goes into the pre-existing issues of some of the girls who suddenly identify as trans - and yes, they often have underlying issues or are lesbians. This sudden desire to be trans in adolescence is now referred to as Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria.

The book is well worth reading if you want an understanding of the trans fad among the young.

There's no such thing as "true trans." Everyone who transitions has a reason.

edit: the men you met most certainly were straight men that got off on crossdressing.

I'm an old and do not have children so I'm basically not in touch with Today's Youth (tm). Just judging from reports on line it seems like most gay and lesbian youth are at heavily encouraged to transition and to ID as trans or non-binary. I think many of them are not really that confused but since being homosexual is nowdays Problematic and Oppressive and they want to have friends and so forth they go along with it. No idea about percentages.
