Everything seemed reasonable until they started to complain about abortions being government funded. If Viagra can be, so can abortions, especially since a) abortions aren't for sexual pleasure/recreational sex, and b), they exist as a result of male interference (women don't become spontaneously pregnant without men).

That's why I put the disclaimer.

But again, abortion is very important to many Americans, both for and against, so the fact that the Equality Act will have an effect on abortion, under the guise of LGBtq+ rights, should be of concern to homosexuals.

Because if the Equality Act passes, homosexual people will be blamed for some of the outcomes by SOMEONE, so it's important to know what's in it.

This is from THE FEDERALIST, a conservative US publication, and the author is very concerned about what the Equality Act will mean to opponents of abortion, but, again, this article goes into what outcomes can be expected if the Equality Act passes.

So whether we agree or disagree with the author's opinion, it's important that Americans know what's in the Equality Act enough to know whether we should support it.

Call me cynical, but it seems whenever the US government is about to pass something very frikking dodgy, they give it some bait & switch emotionally charged title.

"We want to erase the 4th amendment, lock up people without trial and spy on everyone, what should we call it?"

...

"How about the Patriot Act!"

"Brilliant!"
