These kids are being taught ridiculous ideas about gender. Like how many of you guys can honestly say that you feel like a man or woman? To me that concept has never crossed my mind. And what does it even mean to feel like a boy/girl anyway?

These kids would be getting their ideas about what it means to be either from the world around them, so they'll be associating gender stereotypes with being a boy/girl and if they don't conform to them, they'll start questioning themselves.

I don't even think the parents are completely to blame. Most of them would reassure their kids that they're fine in the body they have - except now trans activists are telling them they're horrible people if they don't encourage kids to feel wrong in their bodies.

We know the problem = gender conforming people who judge/bully gender nonconforming people. Gender norms aren't going away any time soon which is why so many people who hate gnc people are TRAs... trans activists (who aren't trans themselves) want to "correct" us (I'm gnc) i.e. trans conversion therapy. Parents don't want their kids being bullied... that's why my mom tried to force me to be feminine, she knew kids would tease me as a tomboy. What could she do? She couldn't stop kids from bullying me, so she made me "fit me". That's what these parents are attempting to do.

And to the folks who think I was better off for not being given puberty blockers, I would've rather have ruined my body than to be forced to look like a girl and grow boobs back then. I'm glad I didn't "transition" NOW, but my mental health never fully recovered from being forced to conform to femininity. When I look at my childhood photos, I want to slap the fuck out of my mom because I'm still angry that she made me look like a girl.

There's a middle ground here (not putting a kid on drugs that will steal years of development from all their organs including the brain, heart, and lungs, and cause their bones to shatter easily before age 50, but also not forcing a kid to conform to femininity), and promoting the use of puberty blockers is getting us farther away from it. It's abusive to force a child to conform to femininity, but it's even worse to cripple them physically.
