I’m really excited to act, now that I’m in this body.

Girl, you’ve been in that body for 34 years. Stop playing.

I'm really excited to act, now that I'm just a man instead of a filthy lesbian.

I'm really excited to act, now that websites and the media will talk about what I do instead of how I dress.

I'm really excited to act, now that my future career options are wider than "stern matron, fuckable mom, retire, choose only one."

I'm really excited to act, now that I don't have to try so hard because actors and their characters almost never have to cry on cue.

I'm really excited to act, now that I'll never be pressured to do explicit sex and nudity scenes.

I really hate how spot on you are with the expectations of women. This is probably why so many women who transition do it.

Her transition is 60% a result of some kind of trauma, I'm sure of it. Hollywood is tough on women.

Omg 'act' like in a movie. Not 'act' like do activism. D'Oh.

Ellen Page . . . looking like a skinny 14 year-old boy.

My guess is that it's intentional. There is a reason for her not getting on HRT. She doesn't want to be a woman OR a man, she wants to be a teen. A teen boy to be exact.

Midlife crisis in a nutshell. She's growing older and that scares her. She's decided she doesn't want to be an old lesbian, comfortably settled into marriage, anymore. She wants to be a soft boi instagram model for highschool girls to fawn over.

Not even close. Looking like a skinny 14-year-old tomboy at best. In what way does she look like a boy?

It's absolutely lost on me.

[–]JulienMayfair 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Well, that's the attempt, and I might have said an unhealthy, anorexic 14 year-old boy.

My favorite bit is for the cover photo, you can tell there are shoulder pads in that sweater. Which I know was done to make him look more masculine, but I think it makes it even more feminine. Lol

Yeah, by trying to highlight an artifically male feature, it really just highlights how feminine the rest of her is.

There is something definitely wrong with her haircut tho. Like wtf are those bangs?

1: What exactly is so "brave" about admitting your sexuality to the word which she previously did and now she's admitting that she has a mental illness? Braverly would be in the lines of military people like Audie Murphy or first responders like fire fighters who go into burning buildings to rescue people. There is absolutely nothing "brave" about what Ellie has done.

2: I have a very hard time buying that she is a "true transgender". The reason being is because of how late she decided that she "felt out of place within her body". In my opinion she is having some type of midlife crisis or she's going to this extreme as a sign that she needs help. If the ladder is true then unfortunately her mental illness is going to go untreated because it would be "transphobic" to give her real metal help as opposed to accepting her path of destruction. Any sane person should be able too look at that photo and be able to tell that she is unhappy and she needs real metal help. It wouldn't surprise me if she ends up committing suicide and the reason being is because of society not accepting her "transition", not because she is obviously troubled by something.

She sure does look excited! Look at that wry smile and the dead look in her eyes on the cover.

Nothing says bravery quite like identifying into the movement that is free to silence even the slightest opposition, and is reinforced and protected by some of the most sadistic brutal capitalism the world has yet seen.

TIME Magazine have got it wrong before though.

This entire look she's got going on screams "instagram soft boi" to me. There is a reason why she's probably never gonna start HRT. She doesn't want to be a 30 yr old woman OR man. She wants to be a teenage boy a highschool girl could hang a poster of in her room to fawn over.

Much aking to how a middle aged man buys himself a fast car to feel young again, Ellen decides to stave off the thought of growing old and irrelevant by becoming someone she no longer should be; a teenager.

I guess I'm not really gay. All I see is a woman.

A very confused, very psychologically unwell woman trying very hard to be something she's not and never will be.

Funny that? Or, could it be that I'm actually gay and not a fucking idiot role-playing an 'identity' and playing pretend?

[–]DestructionI ❤️ adult human females 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Bravery is being who you are and loving yourself for it. Trans is all about manufacturing a false persona and becoming it. Don't peddle that bullshit to impressionable young teens, Ellen!

Perhaps it's the light angle, but her skin and face looks a little rough; Also gaunt. And this is speaking as a very skinny individual. Clear visible lack of collagen/fat. As per usual, imma chalk it up to an inadequate diet. Get some proteins and fats, Elliot! You'd think they would have better nutritionists with all that money. I wouldn't be surprised if that's one of the main factors contributing to her emotional/mental state. Because she looks pretty unhappy to me..
