I read on r/LGBS that whoever started the GoFundMe campaign cannot access the fundraiser, and it looks like GoFundMe may have pulled the plug on it, though it is not yet confirmed.

Can you imagine canceling a fundraiser for a rape crisis center just to appease TRAs? Just one more reason to Drop The T and not be associated with that kind of thing.

Of course, these fundraising platforms have done it before, and I'm sure the AHS secret police read about it and contacted GoFundMe to shut it down.

There are a total of 5 threads posted about the GFM being shut down. Choosing to keep this one active, and removing all the others as duplicates.

That's why the media needs to know about this, instead of giving the money to the shelter and quietly closing it (something they've done with others). They chose to close it and refund.

Wouldn't be surprised if some TRA fuckwit is in charge of that company.

I read on Kiwi-Farms (my guilty pleasure) that GoFundMe gives regularly to Trans-Projects on their platform (E-Begging for surgeries as well as other "community"-projects. Don't know if it is true but it sounds plausible enough given the shutting down of a "TERF-Fundraiser".

Yeah, you don't have to look far on Twitter to see that any slightly popular trans posts get an inevitable "please support my genital surgery" GoFundMe begging responses.

Does anyone know what happens with the money that has been donated? Does it still go to the charity? Does it go back to the donors? I see someone posted the direct link to the VRR to donate to instead.

Not surprised. I actually think raising money for VRR is what got SS banned. Remember that time TRAs got Boyz' HIV Testing Campaign axed out of spite for mentioning the LGB Alliance existed? They're vindictive as hell.
