I may be, but never in person, because you would crush my 90 lbs me :D

Awww, is that a way to say you want to eat me? :D

Quite frankly, get out of here with that body shaming. You're as bad as the men on reddit.

[–]Elvira95Viva la figa 22 insightful - 11 fun22 insightful - 10 fun23 insightful - 11 fun -  (5 children)

Where is the body shaming? It's a fact that being fat makes certain things more difficult. Then I come from a country where real fat women are super rare and it isn't taboo to speak facts about weight, rather than pretending obesity is cool.

[–]greenergardens 5 insightful - 8 fun5 insightful - 7 fun6 insightful - 8 fun -  (4 children)

"I may be, but never in person" by adding the never in person you were acknowledging you ARE shaming.

I did not ask you to pretend it's cool, only to refrain from shaming. Don't care where you're from, it's never appropriate to shame someone for their appearance, weight or otherwise.

[–]Elvira95Viva la figa 18 insightful - 2 fun18 insightful - 1 fun19 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

I was just being sarcastic. I just got kind of scared by the idea of a 300 lbs woman lol

[–]greenergardens 5 insightful - 8 fun5 insightful - 7 fun6 insightful - 8 fun -  (1 child)

Weak defense. No "lol" here, as it isn't funny. Perhaps it's just best to keep your opinions to yourself if you're going to act like a 300lb woman is scaring you.

No, I like free speech, especially when I'm not saying nothing wrong, and you acting too sensitive about a stupid comment that had nothing offensive about it.

found the fatty

[–]censorshipment 16 insightful - 10 fun16 insightful - 9 fun17 insightful - 10 fun -  (18 children)

Relax. I'm the one who said that fat women were the first to hate on scissoring 20 years ago when I was in college. And I'm fat yet I side with the women who are in shape and can scissor. And now these men are hating on scissoring because smashing their cocks and balls together likely hurts.

You fat and side with slim, you butch and side with femme. Your mind is very fascinating.

I know outside of the US, lesbians aren't chronically obese with "gender issues" in general. American lesbians shouldn't represent lesbianism.

[–]Elvira95Viva la figa 20 insightful - 2 fun20 insightful - 1 fun21 insightful - 2 fun -  (15 children)

LMAO I like you

But yeah, outside of the USA there is no such a thing as fat lesbian stereotype. I was kind shocked at first reading american forums talking about lesbians being fat. Like never heard of such a thing, in my country I have heard of stereotypes of lesbians being gym rats and fit, but fatness is not problem, because in general obesitiy is really rare in Italy. And I think gender roles and stereotypes tend to be definitely less prevalent. American lesbianism is quite different than in other cultures.

Mhm! The beauty of chatting with women from around the world (I don't travel outside of the US, I'd have a panic attack lol) is finding out we Americans are low quality. 😂 #NotAllAmericans of course. Anyway, this is off-topic. Have a good day, shrimp.

[–]Elvira95Viva la figa 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (12 children)

American beauty standards for women are definitely low,I mean they just need to be not fat. In Italy they're quite horrible. The ideal is must to be long-legged and with slim waist. All things outside of control.Yet,american women are complaining for fatness not being seen as cool. It's quite ridicolous. They should feel lucky to be in a country where is so easy to be considered a 10. Good day to you, whale.

[–]lurkylarky 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

Actually American beauty standards are very high but most don't meet them. I'm originally from Shenzhen and the standards there for women are tall, long skinny legs, white skin, high nose, big eyes, thin face, full lips. That is basically the opposite of most Chinese girls. Just because most people don't meet the beauty standards doesn't mean that the standards will get lower.

[–]Elvira95Viva la figa 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

Itìs the same standard we got in Italy. I totally meet the face beauty standard. But totally miss the body one. Since I'm super short, with short legs and pear shaped. But in USA beauty standard for female body isn't hight at all. Height isn't important for a woman. Actually, short girls are considered usually better than tall one, since tallness in masculine feature. Men got it worst. Height seems to matter too much in USA for men. Heightism in China is really akin to racism too, even in the workplace. I prefer Japan. Japanese culture love tiny things.

🤣 omg I'm blushing because you called me whale like that's a cute pet name. I might have to block you before this gets weirder. And agree with what you said. K, bye.

Really?! That's so crazy to me! In the US, and I was definitely fed the stereotype of "all lesbians are fat" when I was growing up.

Stating a fact as simple and clear as "being fat makes movement difficult" is not body shaming tho? Like... it's literally just a material reality for fat people.

[–]GreykittymommaMagical lady 💜 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yes, I was like who got shamed? This is just like when TRA say stupid shit to us about their gender feels.

If fat people don't want to scissor, fine. Fat heterosexuals have a hard time bumping uglies too, get over it. You can either find something that works for you or lose the weight so you can scissor, staple, whip eachother with a ruler, whatever you want babe!

Making comments about what bodies can literally do isn't shame, it is science and sometimes also funny because why the fuck not?

Internet too mean for you? Get off!

Oh my god, who the hell cares about "shaming." Shame is a healthy and productive element of a functioning society. This culture of "you can never say anything is bad because it might hurt someone's feelings" needs to stop.

Shame is a healthy and productive element of a functioning society.

Ok, I don't know if I agree with that. But I didn't see any shaming going on here.

[–]dramasexual 5 insightful - 3 fun5 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Excessive shame can be counterproductive, but shame serves an important function. It's an important regulator of behavior. People who post endlessly about their diaper fetishes in Twitter should feel more shame. People who jerk off in front of unwilling participants should feel shame. Pedophiles should feel shame. Trying to eliminate shame wholesale from society is just as counterproductive as overdoing it.

It's okay to say that bad things are bad.
