Also most of the bisexual women within the poly community aren't actually interested in real relationships with women and/or already have male partners. And lesbians within the poly community are really really hard to find because there's likely so few of them. Or they're just hiding really well. Probably because of the MF unicorn hunters who promise the husband wont be involved but surprise! they lie.

I had the terrible displeasure of being wrapped up with a bi woman like this. Her boyfriend was giving her a tough time, I offered a shoulder to cry on and suddenly she's super into me. I don't question nothing cause I've already been crushing on her at that point. We have a little fling together but before I know it she utters both "I love you" and "only men can truly satisfy me" in the same sentence. Turns out I got myself wrapped into a poly scheme in which I would just have to deal with sitting on the sidelines whenever my girl hungered for sausage. Moral of the story: stay away from poly!

I've got way too much respect both for myself and others to treat or be treated as a toy that can be dumped into and pulled out of the toybox at convenience.

I wouldn't take it from my guy and I wouldn't dream of treating him that way either. I even get guilty whenever I mentally acknowledge another guy as attractive.

I wish it wasn't so old fashioned, but I still believe that when you get really really looking-to-the-future serious with someone you're giving an important part of yourself to them and they treasure you, and receive the same of them to cherish. The idea of violating and trivializing that trust so intentionally makes me feel sick.

Preachy as hell, I know. Can't help my antiquated monogamy.

Nah, I agree 100%. Monogamy is the way to go if you actually want your relationship to last.
