RantI hate queer lesbian culture

I am SO SICK of lesbianism being seen as a culture, with flannel and swords (????) and u-haul and anime memes?? I'm so sick of breasts being referred to as "tiddies" by porn sick men, it makes me want to throw up. I'm so sick of the male gaze and male desire in LESBIAN spaces. Why does absolutely everything in this world have to revolve around some straight dudes dick? Not all men blah blah but at this point I'm convinced the amount of transbians actually outnumbers the amount of real, proper lesbians. Especially if you count non-OP he/him jokes of "lesbians." Where are the homosexual females?? The people who aren't just claiming to be lesbians because it's trendy and they like the culture??

Sorry for the rant, I'm just so frustrated...

I feel you. It sickens me too. I think we've just got to keep hanging together on Saidit and maybe try to connect with other pockets as we find them.

Have you read any of the articles from Lesbian and Gay News that have been posted? There are a lot of thoughtful and relatable ones that have been posted.

Tiddies is from black slang (AAVE/"ebonics"). Don't credit white men for our shit. I'm a black lesbian, and I've been saying tiddies since the 90s.

Actual, real lesbians can say whatever slang they want for women's bodies. It's men using those words that bothers me and getting turned on by their own male chesticles

I was trying to rack my brain for when I "heard"(read) tiddies in context to FTM, and I remembered: "Tiddie skittles" = their hormone pills. Ughhh! There was a reason my brain had chosen to file that away in the "forget you ever saw this!" bin.

Even in my conservative town Lesbian Tinder has multiple men on it identifying as 'Lesbian' I'm getting really tired of it.
