For our TRA lurkers: Yes, you do constantly say lesbians are TERFs. https://lesbian-rights-nz.org/shame-receipts/

I mean....these clowns got an entire community of lesbians removed off reddit.

I can't with these people, they're absolute loonies.

Thank you for this link! Put it in my ig bio so my friends can see the conversion therapy and anti-lesbian receipts and why I always post "terf-y" things on my story.

Well most transwomen are actually straight white men so guess we're even then 🤷‍♀️

Many people called terf aren’t even feminists -_-

Most TERFs are actually straight, white women.

Keep telling yourself that as if it gives your argument more clout.

Well, by the original definition, yes, you need to be a self identified feminist who hates transwomen to be a terf. Hence the acronym consisting of "trans exclusionary" and "feminist"

But in practice, it is a worthless term thrown around at anyone who won't sleep with every trans identified person who demands sex from them

I dunno if hate is the right word. I think the original TERFs were more of a “you aren’t actually a women so please don’t talk over women’s experiences or claim that it’s women’s responsibility to advocate for you” type of people. But, I could be wrong. (Admittedly, I don’t know a ton about radical 1970s movements.)

Well, were TERFs originally self identified or was the title thrust upon them? Basically, did a group of feminists say, "We are trans exclusive radical feminists, or TERFs for short" or was the term invented by TRAs to define the undesirables?

Here’s what I found: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/nov/29/im-credited-with-having-coined-the-acronym-terf-heres-how-it-happened

A woman named Viv Smythe created the term in 2008. She’s an intersectional feminist who created it as a sort of pejorative for feminists who don’t see transwomen as women.

Related: The article is vaguely irritating to read because she spends none of it actually addressing why gender critical people might disagree with her but just repeatedly characterizes them as “hostile.”

Good to see that a lot of straight women are standing up for lesbians. Keeping in mind that not every woman who opposes transgenderism is straight.

This reminds me of that dickhead on Twitter that was going around saying that LGBAlliance was really just straight people.

They got dragged in the comments🤣

"A self-identified feminist who hates on trans people" Feminists care about all women, which means that trans-identified females are included in feminism.

They should stop acting like they're are mostly comprised of ethnic minorities as if that is some checkmate. People can easily see their damn profile pics anyway.

I'm a bi woman who is as tolerant, unprejudiced and open-minded as one can be, so clearly the problem is not in us.
