As a male, I think it's insane & completely unfair to blame women, for insecure men not accepting their own sexuality. These men who are knowingly having "relations" with transwomen (males) are either gay or bisexual males. Nothing wrong with that, but they're not heterosexual (which they like to tell themselves). It's not women's fault, that these men who are ashamed of their true sexualities, are harming or worse, murdering transwomen. Blame the men, & let them know that they need to come to terms with themselves. Also, transwomen unfortunately have a high propensity to work in the sex trade. This calls for them to meet men, who have fetishes around the idea of male genitalia attached to a "woman". "Sis" porn (I think it's called that) reflect this. These are simply men attracted to male genitalia, but like the men to appear as "women" to deny their homosexuality/bisexuality & lie to themselves that they're "straight".

Any flaw in men is womens fault. First rule of the patriarchy.

But trans women WANT the men who have relations with them to claim they are straight/heterosexual, right? They don't want them to see their encounters as gay or bi sex, because that would invalidate them as the glorious real women they are.

You can't argue with them.

Women blamed for men’s violent actions, this is really a classic of misogyny

There's this bullshit claim that transwomen are being targeted for hate crimes and that is leading to their mass murder.

This is bullshit. They get murdered at half the rate of other men, even though they seem to be just as heavily involved in crime. Their death rate is only just above that of women, and that's only because of the amount of sex work and drugs they do.

Channel 4 would seem to suggest that, in the UK at least, trans people are anything from one half to one fifth as likely to be murdered as anyone else.

The UK gov poll they use for the number of trans in the UK used a really vague definition of transgender.

I used the gires data, where 0.2% were actively trying to pass as the opposite sex, with about 100k TW in the UK.

I’m pretty sure like 38 trans people* where killed last year (in my country) and a solid half of those murders had nothing to do with them being trans... I just feel like I have to keep saying this when this subject comes up. It’s a tragedy when anyone is murdered, I’m not trying to diminish what does happen to some trans people, but if 38 murders is considered a spike in the rate, I think your demographic is fairly safe. Literally more babies were killed.

*that number is for all reported murders of anyone who falls under the (wide) umbrella of trans and gnc

I looked at the trans death rate in Brazil a while ago, favourite source of outrageous trans murder claims... Turns out it's way less than half of one percent, so basically normal levels, even there.

When dealing with activists of any kind, you always need to look at the data you aren't getting.

    For example..

Where are the lists of trans kids committing suicide?

Where are the studies showing they have a higher chance big being killed?

Where are the studies showing they have lower offending rates than other men?

If these things existed the activists would be waving them around non stop. There's nada.

So if any of those 38 people weren't trans at all, then the violence rate against them is even lower still

Is OP trying to imply that straight women are always standing off the side screaming, “gaaaayyyy” when men pick up trans prostitutes? It’s always seemed like transwomen getting murdered was either A. straight dudes getting tricked and flipping out when they realized that or B. closeted gay/bi dudes losing their minds over internalized homo-/bi-phobia. But, yeah, sure. Blame women for something they have zero part in.

"Emasculation" is acceptable grounds for murder, and gays are unmasculine. Wow, what a progressive take!

If that's progressive then Hitler was a hippie.

Ah yes, everything has been and always will be women's fault. The battlecry of misogynistic pricks.

With apologies to The Simpsons... "women...the cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems"

This is the second time recently I've read about black women being expected to affirm the female gender identity of transwomen to protect them from male violence (as though women aren't vulnerable to male violence). It seems like the elephant in the room is homophobia, and perhaps activists should be addressing that instead.

It's a television show that ran for years and the first to show a wealthy Black family. And the same producers also pushed tr-ns propaganda both in the 1970s with All That Glitters and in the 2010s with the reboot of One Day at a Time, the original version of which ran concurrently and had a gay male cast member named Glenn Scarpelli. They refused to push anything gay without also pushing T propaganda.

And because Isabel Sanford was later on The Simpsons.
