I really hope the teacher just created this question to generate a debate and maybe be able to teach about consent. Not in a loaded "you're wrong if you answer no" way.

During high school I wasn't dating anyone at all. It'd be bizarre to answer this question.

I went to a school with a ton of immigrant kids. Not only were we not dating, we were literally not even allowed to date by our parents. Our "dating" consisted of holding hands under the desk or kissing in the empty hallway before class, those of us who dared to date at all. I would have gotten in exactly the same amount of trouble for dating a boy as for dating a girl, if not more, that's how strict our parents were. I love how these people bleat about "intersectionality" but this question just assumes that we all have teenage dating as normal in our cultures.

It would be great if there was more context to this question. In that, they showed the text printed below it. That would give a better idea of whether this was woke trash or not.

Knowing that teachers are some of the wokest people in Canada and BC is the wokest of provinces I doubt the question was meant for debate.
