Before people go bashing this person in the comments, I think this person might be a kid, and even if not, is likely at risk of being transed if they are not already. I just wanted to share because I think this example highlights several trends:

  • Trans people on reddit claiming to be a "cis" member of the opposite sex that they are (e.g. a man identifying as trans and then stating that he is a "biological woman" or a "cis woman" when he is a transwoman)

  • People in the "LGBTQ+" online communities repeatedly making anti-"TERF" posts, then mods removing any comments suggesting that people are attracted on the basis of biological sex and not gender identity (sex stereotypes), confusing their own community members.

  • Teenagers getting wrapped up in the online scare over "TERFs" and using TRA rhetoric in an attempt to fit in and be supportive of others.

  • Transing of children.

Most people who support transgender ideology are well-meaning, caring people, and it hurts my heart to see such people be sucked into a cult.

Fair point, "caring" is probably a little much for many people who believe in transgender ideology. But, I do think most people sucked into a cult, whether the trans cult are any other, are usually desperate and in need and get preyed on even as much as the people who their cult terrorizes. I'm not talking about the predatory adult men claiming to be women, I'm talking about kids who get pressured into calling themselves "nonbinary" at school. They are perpetrating a deeply homophobic and sexist ideology. But they are also victims, they're children who were sucked into this thing.

I hope the cult chews them up and spits them back out, which is no worse than what they've wished on me.

So they're a cis lesbian when they need to validate their trans overlords, but nonbinary and maybe bi else where? That's convenient.

TRA's go on and on about cisnormativity, sexuality is fluid etc etc, but when it comes to validation the cis homosexuals are suddenly very valuable to them. It's always' I'm a cis gay man/lesbian and I support trans people blah blah', I can't remember seeing a post like this by a pansexual nb femme.

Interesting take there. I’ve yet to encounter any “terf” policing relationships in this way. It seems to always be the trans community telling LGB people what sort of relationships they should be in and how either their current relationship or relationship goals are bigoted and exclusionary.

Yeah, no one is saying women aren't allowed to date, marry, hook up with, or otherwise become romantically and/or sexually involved with men or women, identifying as such or not. People are just saying that if you fuck men all the time, you aren't lesbian. It's the most simple and pure logic there is. If lesbians are women exclusively attracted to women and a given individual is attracted to men then that individual cannot be a lesbian.

I just saw that now! Seemed like an obvious fishing post. My guess is any comment disagreeing would be deleted and the poster outed as a t*rf and banned. You literally can't have a debate on reddit if you are on the side of women. The comment about transphobes being on the side of the patriarchy and being ultra Conservative made my blood boil, I've been going on feminist marches since the 80s and have protested BNP rallies, how does believing in biological sex make me Conservative?!

She's right. Irrational fear of trans women and hypersensitivity has lead to masculine presenting women (butch lesbians especially) being harassed in women's restrooms and other female spaces for not conforming to sex stereotypes.

They wouldn't, the point is that if there's a dude in the washroom with me I used to be allowed to alert someone, be against it and have my privacy. Now if any dude wants to walk in and be a perv, I can't say anything because that dude can just shout transphobe. Same goes for changing rooms, these guys used to be flashers and unwelcome but now I'm not allowed to consent to wether I see a Willy or not. Sorry if that hurts but not everyone is ok with that, some people want safe spaces away from cocks and the males attached to them. Namely sexual assault survivors, and religious women, and other women who just aren't comfortable with that. Now if TRAs are insistent on going into spaces with members of the opposite sex, why not just stop having sex segregated bathrooms all together? Also what's the obsession with discrimination in the dating world? literally everyone gets discriminated against in some shape or form (too fat,too old,too brown,too ginger, tiny cock, not into straights).

It's already started where I'm at. I went to a small shopping area in my neighbourhood and when I went to go the only toilets in the area, I realised they had been made gender neutral. There was one gender neutral disabled toilet which was separate, so I had to use that (I've got an invisible nervous system disorder, so I often need disabled toilets but get dirty looks from others because I look healthy). It didn't help that I saw a couple of men leave the gender neutral bathrooms, and I know for a fact I would not feel comfortable being alone in a bathroom with men around.

If there’s a male in a female bathroom, people would alert security or a worker. But now with self-ID, women have to prioritize predatory male feelings and self identification over our own safety.

This is an issue I’m interested in but it does pre-date the trans trend. Whether there has been a sharp increase is something I’m interested in. I think logically there would be or at least more women will be on edge whether they say something or not.
