This might be of interest to some here. It's a free download from Transgender Trend. Ex BBC journalist Shelley Charlesworth has dug into the the activism that led to gender identity being added alongside sexual orientation. Even though it covers UK law it could help those in other countries recognise tactics that lead to institutional capture.

This looks really interesting, thanks for sharing! I never even stopped to notice all of this would imply regular psychologists to be given the right to prescribe :0

But it makes sense, for this ideology. They would not want to be obligated to go see a psychiatrist to get treatment, that would mean they're mentally ill.

Friendly warning to anyone who downloads this: open it in Adobe Acrobat instead of your web browser (or at least Firefox). My web browser messes up the layering, causing the background/margin pattern to spill over into the text area, making it much more obnoxious to read.

Thanks for pointing this out. It automatically opened in Adobe for me so I didn't realise this.

It's fascinating and frightening to see the snowball effect in action here. Thank heavens that U.K.'s court ruled the way that it did in Bell v. Tavistock. That might have finally broken the activists' ratchet of control by interfering with their ability to appeal blindly to authority. In my recent conversations with TRAs in YouTube comments, it's incredible how quickly they jump to make appeals to supposedly authoritative semi-scientific/semi-activist groups without citing any scientific data whatsoever. The U.K. government put those groups in their place.
