Yeah, they always love to ignore the fact that most of what their stories from ancient times involve one or more rapes in the process, heavily implying that these ancient people saw trauma as the only reason someone might want to undergo such a transformation.

Trauma and/or being literally cursed. I'm not a mythology buff but I can't think of a single sex transformation story that was embraced or seen as a gift. There are happier endings about people being turned into trees and constellations, FFS...

I believe there was one where Posiden r@ped a woman and then offered her a wish, she wished to have the body of a man so that she'd never go through anything like what Posiden did to her again and then apparently Posiden kept visiting this woman in a man's body?

I remember seeing a post of TRAs saying this proves how "progressive" they were in ancient times and there was a discussion here about it. I can't be sure about its legitimacy as a myth, though

Sounds like a reasoning of many "he/they" transmen or nonbinary women, as they are often "I want to be anything, but the woman, I want escape this pressure".
