It started when I read JK Rowling’s essay. I wasn’t super invested, but the reaction around me didn’t sit right with me. I spoke to my very intelligent and woke sister about it and she assured me it was filled with false transphobic rhetoric. I began lurking on r/lgbdropthet. Was to scared to subscribe, and never made my way over to r/gendercritical before they all disappeared.

I remembered seeing this site in a post, so I made an account and slowly started using it.

I was making a comment on a question that was something like “Why should/shouldn’t trans girls be included in the Girl Scouts?”

And as I commented, I wanted to reference my experience with trans women in adult therapy spaces, which weren’t positive. Before I knew it, I had written a whole off-topic essay that I didn’t even end up posting.

The realization that nobody ever asked what it was like kind of shook me. The experiences were not positive, but I had always just passively dismissed them.... I started feeling kind of angry. Like why?

So I started actively seeking out content creators. I listened to Gender: A wider lense. I found Arty Morty, You’re Kiddin’ right?, and Posie Parker. I read blogs and articles I found through research.

I can’t believe I didn’t find all this stuff sooner. I’ve been dancing around it for so long. You really have to seek that kind of content out, apparently.

That's a shame. I hope you consider doing so somewhere, because it sounds like you have a lot of insight to share on the matter.

You’re Kiddin’ right?

Subscribed; I like how direct and unapologetic she is.

Yeah, the MSM doesn't exactly platform GC views. I recommend Graham Linehan's youtube channel too as he has talked with a myriad of people in the GC and LGB communities.
