Everybody on the planet is made to feel bad about themselves, sometimes accidentally, sometimes intentionally. Almost everybody has to learn to manage their feelings about it, like adults, and put on a pair of slippers instead of stapling carpet to the ceiling.

Except trans women of course, they should never be expected to exert the tiniest amount of effort or put up with a second of discomfort. Honestly, that's probably half the reason these lazy, entitled boys choose to transition: they think that people listen to women's tears (they don't) so they'll never have to do anything hard if they pass and act soft and wounded and helpless enough.

What does this expression mean?

It's easier to work on your own emotional resilience than to try to control the entire world around you and make everything so soft and harmless that nothing hurts.
