It really beggars belief. A biological woman, pretending to be a man, pretending to be an exaggerated caricature of a woman? There’s nothing stopping you from serving full pageant fantasy as a woman.

She prefers female pronouns for an interview.

Don’t forget the part where she is a she for purposes of this interview.

When you've had the idea that "feminine woman = giggly stupid womb with legs" pounded into your vulnerable skull meat so many times the only way you can enjoy life is extreme compartmentalization and ripping your mind up into not two but three different people: Dead Ex-You, a Trans You conduit and security blanket, and the Stage You at the end that's chock full of your actual interests and flavor but has been cordoned down to a literal song and dance routine. This is just sad.

Right? It's beyond fucked up.

I don't like to encourage comparisons, but I look at this and can't help but think, "Damn, I am so grateful that my life is not this fucked up."

Ironically, the funniest part of the most recent episode was her little freak out about the lyrics giving her gender dysphoria because it would out her as trans to the other contestants. One, she wrote those lyrics herself. All the men in the room wrote lyrics gassing themselves up about being iconic and fierce while she just wrote about how you were born a woman. Nothing was stopping her from doing the same thing. Two, I really don't think most of the cast didn't already clock her. Granted, the "winners" circle seems to be primarily shorter men than the "losers" circle which was probably done to blend her in on camera.

I just watched that episode. Her singing part was first and the first lyric was, "I was born a woman". Then she had the nerve to stop in the middle of the practice run saying, "Oh my god. I am freaking out. I didn't tell anyone I'm trans yet". I didn't feel any symapthy for her. She wrote and sing it for the recording. She knew exactly what she was doing. I think that freak out was to seek attention. Why would she write and sing that if she knew if that it was going to give her dysphoria?

Also, I'm more inclinced to call a transman "he" and a transwoman "she" to be civil but, she said she is fine with people calling her she. What? Why? If someone calls her "she" shouldn't that make her dysphoric?

Another thing: I'm of the opinion that anyone can do drag because it's a form of entertainment by preforming as a caricature of women (drag queens) or men (drag kings). However, RuPaul's Drag Race is a show specifically for men (mostly gay men; I've only ever seen one straight man on the show) to compete as drag queens so it doesn't make sense for her to be on it. On top of that, shouldn't being a caricature of a woman be adding to her dysphoria?

Edit: I think the funniest part of that episode was when they were discussing who they would hypothetically vote out. A lot of them said her because she was "the biggest competition". You could tell by the looks on their faces that that was not the real reason.

This, and only this. Drag is a long and storied tradition with very specific elements. As RuPaul pointed out. I'm glad he deleted the apology.

Earlier episode on this particular show, "Why is this woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a woman?": https://saidit.net/s/LGBDropTheT/comments/6z7x/ru_paul_bullied_into_submission_by_tras/

I don’t watch RuPaul drag show but decided to watch the most recent episode as didn’t have anything better do. She sticks out like sore thumb. Clearly female with her small stature, shoulders, facial features, voice and mannerism. The fake ‘gay’ voice she is doing is so annoying as well. Lol at the fact she though she had to ‘come out’

Also the other contestants thought she was threat and it is clearly because she is a female and not for her dancing skills or presence. If she had been male, she would be eliminated very quickly but as we all know she will get special treatment.

Agree she will get special treatment, which annoys me on principle. However, the bright side I think is that the longer she continues on the show the more people she will peak.

Yeah I see this as a positive thing. Majority of the population doesnt know the clownery that the TRAs are up to. This will peak them.

Part of me wonders if RuPaul is a smart mf and did this on purpose for this exact goal or if Gottmik was chosen because of the woke agenda.

I mean, RuPaul at his core is a businessman. He knows how to make deals that benefit him and that's why he's on the level he's at while some of his contemporaries are still working the club circuit. He's also featured 2 full detransitioners (Darienne Lake, A'Keria C Davenport [MtFtM]), 1 partial detransitioner (Eureka O'Hara [MtFtNB], and one desister (Trinity 'the Tuck' Taylor)*. Ru is definitely diversifying his portfolio so, depending on the cultural outcome, he'll always come out looking like he's standing behind the winner.

*On the subject of Trinity, he was silenced by the mob of public opinion a couple years ago for speaking out about how the pageant scene pushes the men in it to transition (at least partially) despite not having gender dysphoria. Fellow winner James Ross IV (Tyra Sanchez), who came from the pageant scene, quit drag last year because he wants to make his body appear more muscular but was groomed into thinking he can't do that AND do drag.

I'd love to think it was to show people the insanity of the trans cult. But, honestly, if you look at the comment sections for news about this, it looks like people LOVE this development, because it is SO progressive and inclusive.

They love it because the majority of drag race fans are actually straight women. Probably inspiring for them to do the same 🙄

I feel like it’s a psyop and then 25%-30% have been legitimately brainwashed online.

Whenever they said stereotypical gay slang.....it just always felt off & forced.

Perhaps if people can identify as multiply trans, employers might have a chance at meeting their state mandated diversity statistics. I might choose to be, and have always been quadruply trans if it means a raise.
