But what disturbs me more than anything is just how similar modern "left-wing" rhetoric is to the that used by the Bolshevik and Maoist Communists.

Right now I'm reading a book about 20th century Russia and she's reading a book about 20th century China, and the cultural atmosphere in both places prior to becoming a totalitarian nightmares is eerily similar to what's happening in the US today.

What? Hell no. Work-shy parasites would be sent to the camps. Genderpotatoes and victimhood fetishists would be executed on the spot.

US traitors identify with #Communism because they're traitors. They hate their home country, want to destroy it, and pledge allegiance to what they think is Team Evil, because they've been educated by cartoons, shitty books, and literal butthurt postwar Nazi imports.
