Why would a woman or LGB vote Trump?

Hi, I am British, as you can tell from the username. I understand the anti-genercult reasons to vote Trump, but surely that’s outweighed by the climate/race? If any women or LGB voted Trump, I’d like to know why? I’m not judging either- I’m British and don’t really understand your country. I’m just interested.

Edit: thanks for the replies- it’s really interesting to see how people feel about both sides. Demonstrates how there is no actual ‘good’ choice now. Feels the same (but on a smaller scale) here in the U.K.

Not American, but if I was, I’d vote for Trump. Not because I support Trump, but only because Biden is worse. And it’s not just the fact that Biden is complicit in this gender ideology. Biden was the Vice President when Obama was in the White House, during which the American federal government invaded Libya, instigated a proxy war in Syria, tried to arrest Edward Snowden for telling the truth, and bailed out Wall Street. I don’t trust Biden. Now, Trump sucks. He lets his son-in-law Jared Kushner interfere in American foreign policy. He has not done anything to stop Silicon Valley from censoring people, including his supporters - not that Biden is going to go after Silicon Valley. And Trump had Qasem Soleimani murdered - although Biden might do something similar as well, given his and Obama’s actions in Libya, Syria and Ukraine.

Biden is a racist, a rapist, a pedophile, a plagiarist, a liar, a thief, and a war criminal. He is many reasons why Trump is necessary and why I will never obey the authority of any other President ever.

Watch the complaints about Kushner for they are dangerously close to antisemites' complaints about Jewish interference in foreign policy. I can show you the anti-Jewish hate speech right here on saidit and Trump is not spared from it.

At this rate, the only way to stop Silicon Valley is with an amendment to the constitution forbidding private companies from regulating speech. If that doesn't work, then we send in the military to stop them from subverting the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. If corporations are people, then the First Amendment applies to them.

The Democrats have been taken over by the far Left. Marxism is deadly and dangerous and should be given no quarter. This is not hyperbole; many prominent members of the party have the same talking points as the CCP. If you don't see what is happening you are not well versed in history and communist takeovers. Mainstream news media is also controlled by the Left and if that is where you are getting your American news from I beg of you to find independent news sources to get to the truth (and I'm not talking about Fox news). Trump has been fairly supportive of LGB (not so much the T but at this point I don't give two shits about that insane ideology), and as a woman and even a feminist I feel that the equal rights fight is pretty much over in the USA and most of the things so-called feminists are screeching about these days are deranged and not where the real fight is anymore.

I am Russian. I cannot count the number of times a non-Russian, usually American, leftist communist has approached me to try and convince me how great the USSR was and how I'm an idiot for not thanking communism for ruining my home country.

I've even had it happen on this very sub (actually I think it was the Reddit version, but still). I was born post-Soviet collapse, but you can still see the damage it's done, and if you know ANYTHING about history of that time period you have to see it's not good. How people can unironically support communism, ESPECIALLY in the vein of the USSR or CCP, is baffling.

I was born in USSR, and I was put on unpaid work for half a year only because they had a suspicion that I can be homosexual. If they were able to prove it, I most likely would end with 2 years or maybe even in prison (or mental asylum), or forcibly transitioned to transwoman like it happened to few my older friends. Illegal radiostation "Voice of America" helped me a lot with anti-HIV safety and with understanding that it is normal to love men as a man, and that it does not mean that I am a woman like our society was telling. Most paedo cases were said to be "work of homosexual men", as you know both of slurs are used against us to this day ("peedor" and "pedik") are shortened version of "pederast". Those were dark times for homosexual people.

I'm not American, but if I can say, Trump to me went from "the worst president of USA" to "I hope he wins again because Biden's worse".

It really shows how scary the Democrats have become, that I turn to someone like Trump, of all people. I recognize elements of fascism and dictatorship starting in the far left.

Truth be told, communist party is almost always right-winged, focused on control, self enrichment, dictatorship methods, censorship and similar means, while it is people under them are told to become left and share their goods. Famous phrase here: "Under capitalism people are exploiting other people - while under communism it is the other way around".

I’m British and don’t really understand your country.

It's a very large, diverse place. Americans also spend a great deal of time trying to understand our country too. Just recently, for a brief moment, a fur-clad, horned-helmeted, shirtless, American-flag-face-painted viking was in charge of our legislative branch.

The political right and left treat LGBTQ+ issues differently, in nuanced ways. It's not as simple as one is for, one is against, and it depends on the letter in the initialism. It also depends if you're dealing with the right, or the religious right. The left, or the woke left.

I generally find that people on the right are more tolerant. They may not agree or approve, but they recognize individual people should be able to live and let live. The left tends to put everyone into groups and not deal with them as individuals. Any individual who strays from groupthink is bad. Minorities that think for themselves are bad. The left tends to use sexual minorities as a proxy for virtue signaling, and not actually care about them.

Not American and not a Trump supporter by far but:

Disgust with the democratic party, I think. Which I can understand. If I was American, I still wouldn't vote Trump, but I wouldn't vote for Biden either. To be honest I'd probably not vote period, as much as people make it sound like doing so makes you evil. I just cannot support what either of them stands for. I don't personally see why someone would go as far to vote for Trump just to avoid Biden alone, but... I can kind of get it, I guess. When you only have two options, and both those options are dogshit terrible, and your society will tear you apart for not voting and insist that if something goes wrong, it's on YOU, an INDIVIDUAL, for not personally voting - of course you've got to pick what you feel is "the lesser of two evils."

That's hardly an American thing, though. I don't feel like any party in any country is the "right" choice. Voting is like being asked what kind of dystopia you want to live in. Do you want to live in a "traditionalist", racist and sexist, heavily Christian influenced, poor-hating dystopia? Or would you rather live in a dystopia full of intangible "gender identity" religion, a different kind of sexism and racism, and the government spending time and money over meaningless concepts like "gender" than anything important?

I also personally haven't seen Trump being anti-gay...? He's a sexist, racist moron with less competence than a child having a tantrum, but I don't recall him ever specifically targeting homosexuals.

I agree with you on the voting. It works if there are parties that are sensible and actually win the election. But right now, here in Ireland, it’s useless. We had an election last February and now we have the most authoritarian government since independence. Plus, people are sheep. Most people believe what the legacy media says. Ireland’s public broadcaster, RTÉ has become the propaganda machinery of the government. And if you own a television in Ireland, you have to pay a license, most of which goes to RTÉ, otherwise you get fined thousands of euros. Most of the rest of our media is owned by Denis O'Brien, who is also in favour of authoritarianism and has sued people who have criticised him. So it’s hard to wake Irish people up.

However, there is a solution. Tightly knit communities. A strong community can stand up to governments and corporations. Befriend your neighbours, buy locally, no phones at the table, organise get together with communities and talk to your family and extended family.

Whoops, misread your post-- lesbian woman here, I pissed off a few people on my US post the other day by saying I am liberal, lol. I'll just post anyway though.

I did not support Trump in either 2016 or 2020, but not mainly because of LGB or women's rights issues. I'm more concerned about other topics, such as:

  1. threats to human lives, such as nuclear war; pandemic policy

  2. environmental concerns, global warming

  3. scientific funding in general, and more broadly, education

If I had felt that Trump or the Republican party had more scientifically-accurate or reasonable stances than Democrats on these issues, I definitely would have voted red, but they did not, it was the opposite.

I have no faith that things are going to be okay. Trump was not the cause, he was a symptom. There is no happy future or ending here. The Dems are censorship-happy and there is no one to keep them in check for at least the next two years.
