That would suck. I don't scroll beyond 24 hours of posts on my saidit front page.

Yes, and please make it so they have to provide NORMAL LINKS and not Archive website pages that only work 1 out of every 50 times. I get that you may want to prevent "clicks" to Reddit but not at the cost of people not being able to see it. Use screenshots if you really don't want to link.

I support this.

I'm on the fence about this. I'm not much of a fan of "look at this crazy rando on Twitter/Reddit/Tumblr" posts, either. (That's not a knock against this sub, specifically. I've said the same thing on other activist/political subs that I'm a part of.) On the other hand, if the post features a highly influential person, then maybe it's worth posting.

I'm also wary of heavy-handed moderator intervention in general. I think the best solution is to be the change that you want to see. Make some posts that spark insightful discussion, and avoid upvoting "crazy rando" posts unless they're really something special.

Just curious-- I wouldn't be opposed to this myself, but what other type of content would you like to see dominate the sub?

Sometimes there are good articles, or people have time for a more in-depth post (although those takes some upfront work), or sometimes a rant. But it's hard to find official sources talking about "drop the T" topics, is the problem... I could post more from Twitter, like the LGB Alliance posts, but that seems kinda a similar thing as reddit and the like.

Literally anything and everything but not just virtually everything screenshots from insane transexuals. It's like browsing a "Tumblr in Action"-sub in 2012.

Some subs on Reddit tried to tackle this with allowing screenshots from Twitter who have a certain amount of followers and i.e. influence rather than every obscure weirdo from strange corners of the net. Which would also be an option.

But right now, if I click on my Saidit startpage almost everything else is suffocated by screenshots from these weirdo wokeys.

Ok I have to say I agree that this sub seems to have had more of a TumblrInAction vibe in the past couple months-- more posts have been getting through that aren't directly related to LGB community, it seems (including a couple of mine I could mention lol, in the spirit of disclosure). On the other hand, though-- I believe Queer Theory is homophobic by nature, and so is gender identity ideology which is based upon it; so it's kinda all relevant, although it might get repetitive.

That's a good point. I'll try to pick comments that seem to have a significant degree of influence.

I agree with all these points. But I mean, imagine, say, an anti-capitalist sub and it would literally be nothing but screenshots from Ben Shapiro's retarded followers...

Gotcha. Well, my best advice is, be the change you wanna see :) I welcome more thoughtful articles and community posts any day! I just post stuff I find interesting and think people will be interested in.

Not on topic, but I wouldn’t mind something like that (a general weekly thread) for the lesbian sub as well. However, I feel that an optional general weekly with encouragement to post reddit/twitter screencaps would probably be better.
