trans women don't get periods. Bottom line. Stop even implying that is, for a second, something that happens.

Anatomical AGP. It's a fantasy.

Insisting you do makes you look crazy, desperate, and narcissistic

Sorry original Reddit poster, the more trans women insisting they get periods the quicker we can be over with the general nonsense. (Or maybe the general public actually thinks they get a full reproductive system via SRS. Yeah, I bet a fair bit do. Crumb. I'm sure some screwball surgeon somewhere is working on it.)

When you transitioned, you should have accepted your dating pool would get smaller.

I think some people falsely believe it's actually going to get... bigger?

Separate issue: I've actually picked up a few odd whispers from the incels who want to transition because they think it will improve their chances at sexual partners. Though I wouldn't be terribly shocked if AGP were over-represented in inceldom. Having a significant to exclusive component of your sexuality wrapped up in a subjectivity inversion really squashes approach motivation and execution.

Ugh, this comment.

I do have a trans son however, he is 16. There's no binary there..he IS male in his mind. And I can see, looking back, the little things that he did as a kid, that made it OBVIOUS he was a boy and not a girl. All his stuffed animals were boys unless they were the mom in a build a bear family group...BaB used to sell smaller versions of their 18 inch animals, and my kid was gaga for his family group BaBs. Especially his wolves and huskies. He was also much more into boys toys, only wore dresses under duress, but he kept all of it to himself until he was 15 because even at 8 he said he was shamed at school for even contemplating being male instead of female.

I love how this person has never considered the idea that their kid is gender non-conforming.

Seriously, this was basically me at that age, and I am very much a woman, thankyouverymuch. I learned to be amused by watching the gears grind in people's heads who are too sheltered to meet GNC people and get over it. If I had cared, they would have had total control over my life. This is the real problem—these kids think they have to care. And peer pressure is a nasty thing, so it isn't surprising. But I was always an outcast anyway, because I was smart and nerdy and sensitive, so I suppose I felt like I had a lot less to "lose" by just being me. I was already getting picked on for other reasons anyway.

I got sneering "are you a boy or a girl" questions for a few years when I had short hair. I don't remember it being traumatic, because I knew the answer and it was never anyone who knew me who asked that question, but it wasn't fun.

I feel for these kids and in this one way I really wish we could turn back the clock a bit. They are getting screwed.

I wish I could introduce this kid to a friend of mine who is also very much into wolves and "boys'" toys. S/he needs a big sister.

I'm not sure, but I think trueoffmychest is not as bad and censory as offmychest; Or at least it was at the time. Reddit probably "fixed" that transphobe problem by now, though. Any new posts will be very inclusive or else AHS will come knocking.

Why even bother to go through the trouble to alter your body, then?
