    Yeah, that, or best-case scenario, just kids playing pretend. I think there's nothing wrong with having imaginary friends, but the problems start when people believe it's something more than that. You see the tulpas crowd a lot over on the "illnessfakers" and "didcringe" subreddits and the like (although to be fair, there is substantial controversy over the existence and nature of DID as a diagnosis in the first place...).

    There's something wrong with having imaginary friends as a teenager or adult. I am not a psychologist but I'm an fairly certain there is some kind of developmental problem or mental illness going on there.
