I went to check the CN twitter account to see if this was real... I wish I hadn’t.

Steven Universe is literally propaganda for kids. I'm glad I'm not a parent, because I'd be constantly worrying that my child was being fed dangerous psuedoscientific political beliefs through fucking cartoons of all things.

It's a dystopian nightmare that we're living in, but few people see it that way because it's left-leaning, postmodernist extremism, instead of Nazi-esque fascism.

Exactly! People expect the overtly-brutal, cold gray joylessness of George Orwell's 1984... but-- great though it is-- the dystopian book that actually came TRUE was Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. Its vision of an empty, artificial "happiness" (notably sexual hedonism so amoral as to be inhuman... sound familiar?), all bright and shiny and seductive, is truly the stuff of nightmares... yet rarely recognized as such. Much less as the Western world's current reality.

Who'd ever have guessed that Brave New World would become OUR world? Or that the more accurate prediction would be a satire?

The attacks on language and the glorification of endless warfare are right out of Orwell. The fake-happy tone is from Huxley.

You're right: it's truly the worst of both worlds :(

A boot stomping on a human face forever... with the human so brainwashed by feelgood drugs and ideology that they ENJOY it (or at least believe that they ought to).

No, the one that came true was Atlas Shrugged...

Why isn't this considered a dystopian novel alongside Orwell's and Huxley's? Seems especially creepy to me as a dystopia that regards itself as a UTOPIA.

It's supposed to be dystopian...

It is Nazi-esque fascism coming from the left though. Anyone who disagrees with them is silenced, if you do not believe the correct doctrines, you do not deserve a place in society. People are encouraged to snitch on each other to the woke police of social media which results in severe consequences. Look at how they describe conservatives, republicans, Trump voters, etc. They are viewed as being inherently evil, subhuman, and a danger to society as a whole, and that danger must be dealt with. It is fucking insane.

I don't watch the show so can you break it down for me? how is it propaganda? (I have ZERO doubt in what you're saying, I just want to be educated) Thank you!

Shit like Steven Universe feeding sexuality when obviously aimed at extremely young children always felt creepy to me, so this comes as little surprise.

Our society is doomed.

Gender pronouns describe a person's gender identity.

Isn't this definition ~transphobic~ according to a ton of TRA rules, since pronouns apparently don't equal gender?

[–]yousaythosethingsFind and Replace "gatekeeping" with "having boundaries" 21 insightful - 2 fun21 insightful - 1 fun22 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

They only say that sometimes because it’s always your fault in assuming there should be any reliability or consistency when we all know they rely on other people’s obvious biological sex and pronouns all day every day as they move about society.

[–]MilkTea 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

And if that definition is true, then “ze/zir” pronouns describes what gender identity exactly??

[–][deleted] 7 insightful - 4 fun7 insightful - 3 fun8 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

Well, we've got male and female so ze/zirs must be zales.

Cartoon Network, how far it has fallen.

Funny thing that always stands out to me, when was the last time that ANY of these corporations pushed LGB acceptance that hard? I've never seen it.

oh my god

[–]HarlanRogers 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

I remember they got Steve Blum back to do the voice for Toonami Tom to decry that saying "All Lives Matter" was inherently a racist sentiment. This is a mass astroturfing campaign under the veneer of progressivism and tolerance to manufacture a loyal and dependable audience.

Needless to say, this is horrifying.

[–]cure_osa_disorder 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

So they are saying some lives do not matter. Isn't that what both Hitler and Stalin did?

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

No, what they said was that nobody has the right to economically exploit their nations.

[–]fuckupaddamsBisexual Terve 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Ah yes, because we need five year old girls and boys having an identity crisis they wouldn't have otherwise, wondering if they're really a 'girl' or 'boy,' and what the criteria are for being those things, and why the boys are saying they're really girls, and the girls are saying they're really boys.

[–]StellaLecarde 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Steven Universe is a goddamn mistake

I thought that shitty show was done already, why TF are they trying to shove more Tumblr bullshit in the faces of kids

[–][deleted] 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I pity the kids growing up with all this fucked up gender discourse being taught that sex isn't real, or simply doesn't matter.

[–]Athelhilda2 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually have a massive surge in teen pregnancies because of this being taught.
