I don't believe for a second that over 60% are actual lesbians there.

"Cisgender women" does not mean lesbians specifically. And it is just survey. Accounts posting in different subs overlap is showing that transgender people there much more than anyone else: https://subredditstats.com/subreddit-user-overlaps/actuallesbians

As I am understanding from the description, this means that 55 times more users from /r/actualelsbians are posting in /r/mtf, 43 more times in /r/asktransgender, 40 more times in /r/egg_irl and 39 more times in /r/traaans than in most other subreddits and third or quarter of those numbers posting more there than in /r/askwomen. For every user of /r/actuallesbians who posted in /r/askwomen there will be at least 14 users posted in /r/mtf, 11 users posted in /r/asktransgender, 10 users posted in /r/egg_irl and 9-10 users posted in /r/traaans.

So "cisgender" women there should be a huge minority (at least judging by activity), and even among them majority seems to be just bisexual women.

Yeah this is the correct statistic to look at when trying to guess what percentage is trans. The answer is an overwhelming majority. More people in actuallesbians (55 times) are also posting in mtf than there's people from /lgbt posting in /trans (46). Seeing that /lgbt is already overwhelmingly trans... God. This is so upsetting.

Situation is sad: https://subredditstats.com/subreddit-user-overlaps/lgbt

At least AskGayBros are holding their ground: https://subredditstats.com/subreddit-user-overlaps/askgaybros - all top overlapping subreddits are about gay men or about men. Similar was with /r/truelesbians, who were overlapping with women or lesbian subreddits, unlike /r/actuallesbians, which is overlaps almost predominantly with trans.

Actually looks like all gay subreddits are still mainly filled with gay men: https://subredditstats.com/subreddit-user-overlaps/gay

While none of (not banned) lesbian subs is with lesbians. Ones that were filled with lesbians were banned.

Lesbian erasure started many ears ago, while grown up gay men (as gay boys are "transed the gay away") started being focused by trans activists only recently. So yeah~

We are fighting but /r/askgaybros is heavily under attack from women larping as gay men and they are incredibly aggressive.

There are not. The number is about 30% when you take out all the people who identified as "lesbian" and something else incompatible-- "transwoman" and "lesbian", "bisexual" and "lesbian", etc.

edit: s/lgbdropthet link: https://saidit.net/s/LGBDropTheT/comments/64fv/one_in_three_people_on_ractuallesbians_is_a/nuc6

a little more on s/lesbians: https://saidit.net/s/Lesbians/comments/64mp/i_did_some_data_analysis_on_the_al_demographics/

And that number may be lower. "Garbage in, garbage out" when it comes to data, and I have heard of transwomen saying just "women" or "female" or even rarely "biological female/woman" when describing themselves.

Ye that makes it pretty much useless.

That sub is an absolute dumpsterfire. It makes me legitimately so sad and angry.

As a bisexual woman I was banned from that sub for saying that no lesbian has a dick or fucks with dicks.

Can I steal the 'Vodka?/Yes!/Please' for future use? That's genius.

Real lesbians are a minority. Most must to be bisexuals or just bi-curios.

As MezozoicGay pointed out, that "demographics survey" is fake cosplay stats. It's a poll asking their users what gender they are. If I'm someone who believes in self-identification, I can claim anything. I can claim to be a lost descendant of Cleopatra.

However, the official Reddit algorithms and pulled data don't lie and they show a completely different story.

https://subredditstats.com/subreddit-user-overlaps/actuallesbians

Nearly 60% of the population are trans. Next 30%+ are bisexual women. The rest lesbians or other. And this makes sense. The trans want to imagine themselves as biological women, don't they? If not they wouldn't be doing this. They wouldn't be transgender.

Ah, thanks for the heads up!! I don't know how I missed this thread, lol. Shoulda caught it while it was hot!

[–]slushpilot 7 insightful - 5 fun7 insightful - 4 fun8 insightful - 5 fun -  (0 children)

Only slightly higher than the stated 0.3% in the general population there.

Just in case anyone was interested-- I think this is the same dataset I did an analysis on, a few months ago: https://saidit.net/s/LGBDropTheT/comments/64fv/one_in_three_people_on_ractuallesbians_is_a/nuc6

I found that at (estimated) maximum, 31% of the people on r/actuallesbians are actually lesbians (same-sex-attracted female)-- and 48% of people who self-describe as lesbian on r/actuallesbians, are lesbians. (Keeping in mind However, these numbers may actually be lower in reality, because some transwomen like to mark answers suggesting their biological sex is female and that they aren't trans.

Would love to talk about more if anyone wants to. :)

edit: wrong link lol. Also, this is a fantastic image! Did you make it?
