When cis people use their past trauma associated with men to equate that to “penis trauma” it’s biological essentialism and it is still transphobic. For instance if a man was the cause of sexual assault and one equates manhood and being a man to having a penis that is western biological essentialism. Trans women as a class experience sexual assault by men at extreme rates and don’t equate that experience to penises but to the men who assaulted them. To vilify penises and use that as a means of validating their equating of trans women as a class to being violent oppressors with penises due to their genitalia is biological essentialism. This type of bourgeois western idealism ignores material reality to spew its transmisogynistic propaganda.
