The way I see it: if you're not disclosing that you're "trans", you're going on dates in defense mode to accuse lesbians of being "transphobic" to paint yourself as a victim. You're essentially victimizing yourself by taking a risk of engaging with "terfs" as a fragile man who can't handle rejection.

Before video chatting was readily available, I disclosed to women that I'm black so they wouldn't expect a white woman to show up since white is the default race (like male is the default sex) online. I knew the chances of me being rejected as a black woman was as high possibility, so I didn't show up on dates in defense mode to accuse white lesbians of racism.

I know, I know... folks hate comparing being trans to being black, but the similarity is quite clear.

Wouldn't it be so much better to tell someone you're interested in dating that you're trans at the very begining? That way you can see if they're comfortable with dating a trans person and neither person would be too emotionally invested if they weren't okay with it. People like this are just attention seekers who thrive on drama. I think one of the reasons that so many transwomen (and a lot of transmen) are such narcissists is that a necessary condition to become transgender is the rejection of boundaries, specifically the hard boundary that nature places on us in terms of sex and other physical characteristics. As with everybody, there are ways I'd like to project myself in the world, ways I'd like to be seen, that are denied to me because of physical characteristics. The difference is I accept these constraints and learn how to work with them rather than deny them. Transgenders can't do this. If they can't accept the limits that nature places on us, how could they possibly accept social limits or the boundaries of another person?
