I’m beginning to wonder if the word “transphobia” even has any meaning anymore, or if it has joined the jumble of now non-words that are tossed around without any definitive meaning anymore, like “lesbian”. Basically anything that is not trans worship seems to be deemed transphobia now.

add the words "fascist" and "Nazi" to the list. Whenever i see these words online it has nothing to do with the actual meaning of the word. Don't think tw are women or tm are men? "Fascist!". Don't want to date trans or pronoun people? "Literal Nazi!". JK Rowling? "Fascist Nazi Terf!"

It's a bit ironic that the people who accuse others of being bigoted or facists are more so themselves than those they accuse. The cancel culture, cries for legislation to control people, and general hatred of wrongthink? That's awfully similar to what the actual, legitimate, original-definition-of-literal Nazis did in Germany back before and during WWII. It's constant deflection, these groups are accusing everyone else of being what they are. It's sad that so many people are fooled and refuse to question these groups at all simply because they point fingers.

I think those of us on the left can sometimes lapse into a lot of white-knighting and think anyone acting like a victim must be one. Those of us who don't know better, that is. But if you default to being a caring, compassionate position toward other people, you can very easily be played.

And that is exactly the drug that toxic narcissists need to constantly find new sources of. So they flock to caring listeners and manipulate the shit out of them. This is a known issue, so to speak. Narcissists do not point themselves at people who don't GAF. That doesn't feed their habit. They want attention and validation. The slur "bleeding-heart liberals" isn't entirely irrelevant though it is usually used in a different way. Anyone who is kind and willing to listen is a target. It's pretty simple. We give, and they take. But first they have to construct reasons for us to give what they want to take.

The lefties who aren't really self-aware or might be insecure themselves, have issues with being rescuers, etc., then jump on their horses and go on crusades to protect or advocate for these people. It's a perfect fucked-up-family dynamic. It is, in fact, a manifestation of the Karpman Drama Triangle:
