Lol OMG Jared Leto playing Ellen/Elliot Page is inspired. 😂 I’m reminded of a woke joke John Cleese shared recently:

A production of 'Macbeth' may cancelled because the man playing the lead revealed that he had never actually killed anyone

Convicted murderers are now being sought

Otherwise they will have to stage Chekhov's Three Sisters, who will be Inuit, Thai and Samoan

Ok, that one was easier to point out as satire. I hadn't heard of the beaverton before, but the constant use of "they" instead of "he" was the first clue that this wasn't actually being written by a gender ideology subscriber. Then there's the discrepancy of an unlimited makeup and CGI bidget and then wanting to give the role to a 'cis' actor. No real TRA would allow anyone who isn't trans to play that role, Page is too important to them rn.

Sure, there was the last part about a few criteria for the actor, but that could've been worded in a way that makes it sound more believable.

Ellen Page is "he/they", so both should work. She want to be called "anything, but woman".

See when I read the he/they part I assumed they wanted he to be the pronoun in some situations and they to be used instead of him.

It seems like something they would want. I wouldn't be surprised to find people using he/her or she/him pronouns to express their fluid non binaryness.

She's also nowhere near important enough to make a biography about her. Half the comments I read on news articles are from people who barely watched any of her movies and her personal life isn't very interesting.

is it supposed to trick you or make you laugh? I appreciate absurdity that can still feel too ridiculous to be confused over - it's a relief to just chuckle instead of be caught in a moment of tension, thinking, wait, no, can they really have gone that far, or can they be so inconsistent....
