That’s it. People under 16 should be banned from social media.

Just ban the whole damn thing. It was a mistake.

I don’t disagree with that.

I know you're talking about social media but I can't help but imagine a second great flood.

I prefer meteor personally, but you do you.

I went into the tag and saw a few tweets along the lines of: "Guys, let's not make #StartCisShaming a thing! It'll give cishets a reason to hate on LGBT+ people :( It's probably a 4chan right wing conspiracy to get people to be homophobic."

I'm sorry but I think that ship has sailed, don't you? Regardless of whether it was a "4chan plant" there are already too many people who take "cis shaming" seriously.

And that's the real problem. It is hard for me to call 4chan the bad guy for lighting a match when the TQ+ was already full of C4 and rigged to explode. If it truly was an idea that was purely a conspiracy, it would not have become so popular. 4chan (if they really did start this) merely exposed the true colors of these people

I've been called "cissy" too much this year to know this isn't a conspiracy

Part of me thinks, "Fine. Go ahead. Attack the vast majority of the world's population over a term most of them haven't even thought about. See how far that gets you. Shoot yourself in the foot as many times as it takes."

The real problem will be that the T is now tightly associated with the rest of the alphabet soup, so the blowback would not be constrained to them.

That's why we need to get our message out there that lots of LGB do not subscribe to or support gender ideology.

LGB alliance seemingly is doing a good job promoting themselves all over. hopefully that helps

Can I start a #StartTransShaming campaign or a #SayNoToTransgenderism campaign since it’s now OK to do it for the innocent people you hate so much?

No, because it's becoming illegal in more and more locales.

Not in the USA. We are one of the few countries with actual freedom of speech.

Laws forbidding this can be challenged in the Supreme Court, which is now conservative, so now would be the time to do it, since conservatives seem to be the only bastion of hope on this issue in a sea of super-woke far-leftists.

Saw it and rolled my eyes.

Something else today, I saw someone I follow on social media say that the trans hate is the same as how gay men were treated in the 80s.....🤦🏻‍♀️

As someone who was actually AROUND in the 80s: there are not enough (dripping with scorn) LOLs for this in the world!

It would be funny if it didn't have long-ranging real-world consequences. We are depriving humans of sexual function before they are even old enough to be able to do anything with it!

[–]PenseePansyBio-Sex or Bust 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It's like some bizarre (and at least equally sick) spin on child molestation, isn't it? Both damage (even destroy) kids' sexuality by hijacking it, and subjecting it to the whims of adults. Either way... it's child abuse, as far as I'm concerned.

I took a look at the hashtag on twitter, amusingly enough there seems to be a lot of in-fighting about it. Basically a lot of the T's think its actually counter- productive to their cause and will cause 'cis people to hate them more'. I think you're right that young teen TRA's started it and are just putting their immaturity out for all to see.

Reminds me of when people think it's okay to be heterophobic or misandristic on Twitter then wonder why they get no support from one (or both) of these two groups.

[–]EzukiRaen 14 insightful - 1 fun14 insightful - 0 fun15 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I found this funny at first and was gonna make a joke about how the Alphabet Nazis are initiating thier own demise but then I realized...we're still a part of this group!

I hope they nip this in the bud ASAP because, to most of the world, the LGB is still happily married to the TQ+. Which means all of us, regardless of our ideological differences, will face backlash for this stupidity.

Yes, and I will gladly join you with Gay Pride as long as you join me on my campaign:

Eh... That's kinda wrong, mate. Especially since these people are majority. Even if they weren't, still wrong.

[–]ExecuteHomophobes 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

No, it isn't. It's payback for anti-gay bigotry.

[–]BiHorror 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

Yes, it is. You're shaming a bunch of people for their sexuality, majority of those who aren't anti-gay, which is something they cannot control. How does that even make #starthetshaming better than #starthomoshaming? It's doesn't.

[–]ExecuteHomophobes 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

"You're no better" is a form of gaslighting that blames marginalized peoples for their own marginalization.

[–]BiHorror 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

That's not gaslighting. That's just trying to be a decent person instead of treating others, esp those who had nothing to do with it, like shit. Alongside, not being a hypocrite.
