What difference does it make if my brain is identical to a ladybrain? I'm never going to be a woman even if I wanted to be, nobody can switch sex, it is just not possible. God, I hate this kind of pseudoscientific justification for trans shit.

Tests have found gay men and straight women fare better at certain language tasks, while heterosexual men and lesbians tend to have better spatial awareness.

So apparently I'm supposed to be a gay man or a straight woman. Shoot. How do I effectuate this transition?

This article was written back in 2008. No one was saying that these findings somehow prove that gay men are actually women. Nowadays similar findings between trans-womxyn & women are used to prove that trans-womxyn are actually women. Their whole bodies are male, every cell has XY chromosomes, but a part of the brain (not the whole brain, most of it is male too) is "female". I don't know how people buy this crap.

Yeah I find it interesting that such research has gone from trying to prove homosexuality is biologically determined to using pretty much the same results to try prove the arguments of TRA.

I tried writing out comment about my objections to the science behind this but your comment is far more succinct in its criticism.

This study proves that sexual orientation is real and is determined by brain structure. It doesn’t prove that gay men are women and lesbians are men, because the brain structure is the only thing gay men have in common with straight women.

Even then, it doesn't show how clear the differences are. The only number it cites is that heterosexual men have a 2% larger right side on average, but Lesbian women average 1%. This would suggest to me that gay men and lesbians share traits with their opposite-sex hetero peers, but these traits are not as strong. So gay men have some similar traights as straight women, but it's not as pronounced. The fact that they were claiming very clear distinctions between gay/hetero men suggests that gay men and straight men are indistinguishable except in those few cases.

A sample size of 90 volunteers (who may or may not be of the sexuality that they claimed to be) is practically nothing. No meaningful conclusions can be drawn from such a small study, especially given the sheer number of variables that weren’t (and arguably cannot be) accounted for.

It also doesn’t factor in bisexuality. Where do bis belong in these neat little ‘gay man/straight woman, lesbian/straight man’ dichotomies?

I wish this was just sloppy science, but it isn't. It's a calculated effort to get rid of homosexuality and it's being funded by some very well-connected people in the political and business world. Countless blogs and websites have pointed it out already.

So, male/female brain dimorphism is a thing. What' they're pointing out is that the brains of same-sex attracted people are shifted in the opposite direction to their own sex. So a gay man has a brain that also kinda looks more like a woman's, not that it is female-typical.

Researchers have looked at brains of AGP individuals and did not find the shift--men with male-typical brains. In HSTS men, they were shifted female.

So it amuses me that everyone is dogpiling on this article, when it's actually somewhat formative in dealing with the issue at hand, which is primarily the trans cabal being run by the AGP.

And if you really put on your thinking cap, you'll realize that homosexuality is an epiphenomenum to a neuroanatomical intersex condition. At least one of the etiologies. Think about all the other things that exist with a gay man. It's not just that he likes dick. Career choices, manner of speaking, gait, motor movements, interests in hobbies, interior decorating, effeminacy. Etc.
