"Same-sex attraction (i.e. homosexuality) is homophobic."

My god. Their whole ideology is just a heaping trash pile of contradictions. Well, throw it in with all the others I guess.

"Some women have penises"

"Some lesbians enjoy penis"

"Sex is a spectrum"

"Transgender is not a disorder, but we want hormones and surgery to treat it"

"Bi means two or more"

Transgender is not a disorder, but we want hormones and surgery to treat it

Adding: “We want medical professionals to do this on the taxpayer dime, but this totally isn’t a mental illness.”

Indeed. Honestly sometimes I think that when they say something we disagree, we don't even need to argue with them, just point out something else they say that contradicts what they just said.

Maybe we should start a thread of the many examples of how TQ+ ideology contradicts itself.

There is a website that actually has a list of such contradictions. I think I linked to it in the stickied "Why do you want to drop the T?" post, it's a really great resource.

Precisely why I keep saying that this has nothing to do with reality and everything to do with religion (or a religious mindset about these things).

Gender ideology is a cult.

They will perform every kind of mental gymnastics to contort their way around reality. Just one problem--reality doesn't give a fuck what you 'believe'.

Please tell me this isn't real.

Reducing homosexual love to be homosexual love is "homophobic" because it "oversimplifies the point?"

I'm done with the internet

I've heard so many TRAs saying homosexuality is transphobic, but someone saying it's homophobic is an even harder slap in the face. When they say it's transphobic it's like "your sexuality is offensive to me", which of course is already awful. But saying it's homophobic is like "your sexuality is offensive to you", which is even more delusional and adds a bizarre layer of gaslighting.

There are honestly few things that offend me more than someone becoming offended on my behalf, especially when it's over something that does not offend me at all. It is insulting that someone would consider me unworthy to express my own opinion and isntead decides to project their own opinion onto me and use my feelings that they don't care about as an excuse to express their irrelevant opinion.

But when someone fetishizes and cosplays as one of the attributes that defines me, which is already enough to make me really dislike someone, and then continues to tell me what to be offended by, and then continues to tell me that the very thing about me they fetishize and cosplay as should be offensive to me because it highlights that they are fetishizing and cosplaying as what I am instead of actually being it is a whole otherworldly level of hipocrisy that I honestly hope that this is real just so that the TRAs can't use it as an example of us faking anything and so that people will stop supporting them

It appears to be projected psychosis.

The only way for them to infiltrate hitherto simple concepts like 'man' and 'homosexual' is to inject a ton of nuance and complexity into them. The way they describe how complicated it is to define 'man' and 'woman,' it seems like a miracle humans have managed to reproduce for thousands of generations.

Saying that homosexuality is 'same sex attraction' is now somehow homophobic.

Please tell me what being 'gay' means to you, Mr. Critfacts, and none of the bullshit 'oh, people should be able to decide that for themselves!' give me a definition of the word 'gay' or 'homosexual' that implies that being either of those two is anything but same sex attraction. There is nothing more to being gay.

Lesbians aren't into penis.

Gay men aren't into vagina. Get the fuck over it. I don't 'hate' vagina, but my orientation excludes women, therefore being with a woman is not sexually or romantically viable for me.

This dude sounds like a classic homophobe from the 1950's. The type of shit my parents used to tell me when they couldn't accept my homosexuality: "oh, it's just a fixation on a body part! you need to get over it!"

It's like he can't see the word "sex" in any context without diving headfirst into gangbangs and seedy shit there's no other possible meaning to the word. Oh, his profile says "United States." I see.

Again, what do we call the phenomenon where people are exclusively same-sex attracted if gay, lesbian, and homosexual suddenly mean bisexual or heterosexual?

These muppets need to stop trying to prescribe false meaning to terms that describe existing groups of people. Loudly redefining words in an attempt to weasel one’s way into a group only excludes the actual group members.

Actually I'd argue the opposite.

Reducing homosexuality to "gay love uwu" is restrictive, an oversimplification, watered down, and highly inaccurate for many people. Some, like me, don't experience "love" for the same sex. It's also feels like a slap in the face to anyone who was abused or raped in a same sex encounter/relationship, if you're implying that homosexual = love and happiness

[–]oofreesouloo⚡super lesbian⚡ 15 insightful - 1 fun15 insightful - 0 fun16 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I totally agree with you on this one. I hate how there are so many people nowadays, men and women, who fetishize lesbian relationships as they were these perfect incredible rainbow thing. (spoiler: it isn't. At all). As a lesbian and as someone who is out for 10 years now and has talked with so many girls and women, women can be a fucking pain in the ass. No, relationships aren't incredible. They are messy, complicated and not always will you love the person you should. Exactly like it happens with hetero or gay male relationships. Homosexuality for me is exactly, strictly same sex attraction. Full stop. Love can be a consequence of that attraction, but it isn't by any means "necessary" to be a homosexual.

Translation: it’s such a specific definition that it’s too hard for straights to weasel their way into. So it needs to be more vague so everyone can identify as gay
