Gender is a social construct, right? It seems to be a point everyone universally agrees on.

Then what else is transgenderism if not the desire to mutilate, medicate and modify a healthy body to fit a socially constructed stereotype? How then isn't it socially acquired, socially influenced, and a feeble answer to a complex problem?

The complex problem, of course, being dysphoria and how to resolve it. Evidence seems to indicate that it just takes time--people often grow out of it. Some don't. But ultimately it seems to stem from wanting to break 'gender' norms--those social constructs that we associate with being male and female.

Reality doesn't change because of how someone 'feels'. Dysphoria and, indeed, the desire to mutilate, medicate and modify a healthy body because of how its mind perceives it indicates an unwell mind. The answer to that is psychological support, therapy, helping someone through that, not butchering them and hoping they don't regret it years later--we all change, we all grow and develop as we get older and wiser.

The static, immutable thing is what you are. The desire to be something else, to look different, to be perceived as different is ephemeral.

I'm also inclined to believe that many trans people are subject to superstitious beliefs--the idea that they are 'souls' inside a body as opposed to the body itself. I've seen so many various bullshit arguments trying to justify it.

The fundamental thing is that 'gender' doesn't exist--you are what you are. Whatever you want to wear, however you want to dress, whatever costume you don doesn't change your sex or how you are perceived. And by all means, you should wear what you want, love whomever you want, live your life however you want.

And if you genuinely feel like you need to twist your body to fit your mind and that's the only way you'll cope then by all means, go for it. You have one life, make the most of it. But society--other people--cannot be expected to play pretend with you.

And when that starts stepping on toes--sex-based rights, recognitions, protections of women and LGB folk--then I take umbrage with it. When it starts trying to indoctrinate vulnerable kids into thinking that they must be trans because they don't conform to 'gender' norms, and medicating them, or influencing their parents to take them to Thailand to castrate them, then I take umbrage with it.

'Dysphoria' is on par with anorexia and body dysmorphia--it's an incongruity with how a person's mind perceives their body. It's self-destructive and needs support, not 'affirmation'.

It's no use talking with you LMAO. Another lost cause. Why do I even try. Fine, stay delusional, just don't invade women's and LGB spaces and colonise their language (which you already are doing by comparing psychiatric therapy to conversion therapy. I hope you realise how disgusting and disrespectful that is to survivors of conversion therapy.)

Stop listening to Stonewall's propaganda. So many people are speaking up about regretting their SRS, even so-called "old-school trans". It's a painful, castrating, mutilating procedure that has way more complications and side effects than benefits. And it still doesn't change one's biological sex. You're all being sold a lie (started by John Money, look him up), it's just a matter of time before you realise it. And with ROGD and the normalisation and spread of trans ideology, the number of detransitioners is also increasing.

I am a medical professional in training. I studied this shit. Sorry but it's a mental illness, a delusion. Not sure why it was ever called dysphoria, because it's actually more on par with body dysmorphia.
