I don't care. I want to be left alone and I don't want kids fucked with. I think this sentiment would encompass many people on this sub.

Fair enough.

That doesn't mean I disagree with them. I just don't really think we need to overthink it. Once you start overthinking things and starting groups is when you lose.

You can oppose things without being a member of the evil alt-right nazi racist terfy group that just wants to murder brown trans people and forcing women to give birth. I'm so tired of this endlessly guilt by association and gas lighting.

We're not the unusual crazy ones. I'm so tired of being told otherwise.

Absolutely. Gender is all stereotypes, prescriptive shackling of behaviour. Everything about gender makes everyone's lives worse, even "cis straight white men's". Half the world's problems would fucking disappear if everyone truly did away with "men don't cry", or whatever else makes the handful of people controlling everyone into such miserable hateful dicks.

The other half goes away once money doesn't make the world go round anymore.

I don't think they should mean the same thing. Sex is dependent upon the reproductive system you have that is most developed. This is why there could never be a third sex, no human has had both reproductive systems be fully functional. If we consider "nonbinaries" to be real transgender people, which is the mainstream belief, then it's impossible for gender identity and biological sex to be the same thing.

If we go with the more conservative there are only two genders, meaning that only "binary" transgender people are genuine, how does a person's feelings override the reality of medicine? Let's say brain sex is real and you can magically end up with a brain meant for the opposite sex, how does that impact sexually dimorphic symptoms, like before a heart attack? Or for people living with Multiple Sclerosis? It doesn't. "Gender" now is just short for gender roles, that's all it is.

Not to say we shouldn't have this conversation sometimes but I agree that this kind of discussion probably shouldn't be our number one priority unless it somehow helps us drop the T or prevent experiments on children.

No. I am very against Radical Feminism/Gender Critical. I think they are sexist (to both males and females, ironically), promoting dangerous psuedoscience and fake fact, aggressive & hostile to anyone who doesn't subscribe to them 100% (especially women), hateful of straight & bisexual women, ageist/discriminatory and condescending to younger people, extremely prejudiced against the mentally ill & extremely toxic to intersex people. Oh, and anyone remotely GNC who isn't a "stone butch" is apparently an evil trans person in disguise trying to attack womyn.

So... as a 20-something year old intersex GNC male who has mental health problems, you can probably guess why I have a strong dislike of them personally.

Not to mention they colonize spaces & subs like TRAs do and take them over, thus silencing and killing any decent discussion because everything they touch turns to an echo chamber of psuedoscientific bullshit and hating on other women for petty reasons. Before the Reddit version of this sub died it seemed to be being taken over by radfems, but since the SaidIt move it looks like they've fucked off to one of their many new websites (Spinster? Ovarit? Instavag? Who the fuck knows) because weh weh Saidit has too many right wingers or something.

I don't believe that sex and gender are the same nor should be used interchangably, but that has little to do with the cult-like extremist movement that is radical feminism/GC. You don't have to subscribe to that to think gender is bad. Just like how you don't need to join an extremist religious cult to see that porn is bad.

Radical feminism is a movement on the same level of the trans movement, albeit not as big, but still as potentially dangerous and definitely as insane & aggressive towards free speech and critical thinking

I don't believe in anything that cannot be weighed or measured, therefore I don't believe in spirits, ghosts, gods, auras, souls and genders.

I am physiologically a man and biologically attracted to other men. I despise labels, but reluctantly use them to simplify communication (although the constant blurring of what a 'gay man' means today increasingly removes this efficiency).

Although I realise that certain behaviours associated with different sexes and that this varies considerably from society to society and is generally described as "gender roles".

When I was a child and travelling through South East Asia, I would constantly see men in their 20s holding hands and skipping down the road, these men were expressing their friendship in a behaviour that matched their society's concept of how men should act. However thanks to Americanisation this changed as they adopted a Western conceptualisation of how men should act and they realised that their behaviour did not match Western 'gender roles'.

Some societies have considered some forms of male same-sex relationships to conform and match male 'gender roles' in their society, although modern western society dictates that all non heterosexual behaviour in males is contrary to their expected 'gender role'.

But as gender roles is completely socially constructed and varies considerably from society to society (although Americanisation through globalisation is certainly decreasing cultural diversity among societies globally), therefore meaning that gender in this conceptualisation cannot therefore be inherent.

I would say I'm critical of gender but the actual gender critical movement is too full of crazed radfems for me.

But I do think man/woman isn't something you 'identify' as. The only thing that makes me a man is being male. And I don't get how you can identify as one or the other when the only thing that makes a man or a woman is the body
