Same is happening with word "woman" there, for some reason they (and many other organisations) are naming transes and men, but everyone else is just "person".

Even worse, today I saw this: https://i.imgur.com/X9MdygT.png

"Birthing bodies" instead of "women" or "mothers". Just bodies. And photo without head too.

I grew up in a pretty traditional household. If I ever referred to my sisters or my mother as "birthing body" I'm pretty sure my father would smack me over the head and tell me "wtf".

This is movement fundamentally anti-human.

Bodies is an applied postmodern term for when they want to highlight the identity and expose "systemic" oppression.

Black bodies Female bodies Queer bodies Disabled bodies Fat bodies BIPOC bodies.

It's a really dumb rhetorical device. They dont want individuals considered just the intersectional identity and its relation to power.

Oh is that where that's coming from? That phrasing always really bothered me. It is objectifying, literally.

It's really backwards rhetoric and I despise it. It's very dehumanizing and objectifying to refer to a living human being as a "body", rather than a synonym for a "person". It's one step above referring to a person as a corpse IMO.

I saw that and it was pathetic to see. How can one person be all of L G B T Q+ at the same time?

Gender is fluid duh. So is sex, and sexuality, also race, age, and maybe also species.

Terribly sad to see. The acronym "LGBT' made the idea of being gay frightening to me for a while when I was struggling with my orientation.
