I was banned from r/lgbt upon telling someone not to immediately transition after they said that they were confused with their gender identity.

Was banned for 'transphobia'.

Slightly unrelated, but does anyone else have a feeling that AGB is gonna get the hammer soon? That sub is very anti-trans (referring to not accepting straight females into their community, not actual transphobia.)

We've had several ban-waves in the period that TRAs have been brigading AGB and it's still there, so I don't think a ban is coming anytime soon. I have noticed that some posts and comments are being removed more than they ever were before and he has automod now.

Yeah, I suppose that's true, but it's quite evident that TRA's are making attempts to get it taken down, don't you think? The brigading is almost constant. They want it to be banned so that gay males don't have anywhere to go on Reddit. They want these 'anti-trans' responses so they can convince Reddit that it's a hateful community.

Perhaps Reddit deems the community too valuable to ban and know they'd get endless backlash for banning it.

They wont leave it alone because they want every subreddit that's remotely related to lgbtqiawtfbbq+ to center trans people, but that's not going to happen because admin don't care about trans men and the majority of trans men themselves are too intimidated by actual men to take over spaces the way that trans women do.

I was banned from actual lesbians today because there was a post of a magic wand vibrator (by a trans person... shocking I know) and the comments were flooded with how to use it on a penis. I commented I can always tell when it’s a woman posting versus a trans person (there’s usually a greasy/fetish/sexual vibe to the trans posts). I apologized to the lesbians for having to read about penises in a sub that’s supposed to be for them, that women are more than cute undies and school girl outfits, and you would think out of simple respect trans people would refrain from bringing their penises into every conversation on that sub. Also, it’s okay to be a lesbian and not sleep with penises. And I hope some day lesbians will stand up and fight to get our spaces back.

Slightly unrelated but r/we_get_it_youre_trans is deffo gonna get banned soon.

Wait, banned 51 minutes ago. Damn.

The sub was a replacement for r/wegetityouretrans which was taken over and turned into a zombified trans hugbox

Not banned, but I had a comment removed from r/lgbt a few days ago.

Top post was complaining about cis people. One of the heavily downvoted comments was someone offended that they would make a blanket statement about cis people. Reply to that comment said there's an "implied" some/most/many when they talk about cis people and they don't literally mean ALL cis people.

My thought was, well, when we say women menstruate or men have penises, isn't there any implied some/most/many in that example too? But no, in that case, it's "don't conflate sex and gender!" or "reminder that some women have penises!"

Sadly my comment got removed before I could get what I'm sure would have been a ridiculous reply.

Humans have two hands. Obviously some humans have a number of hands that is not equal to two, but that doesn't change the fact that humans have two hands. Nobody says "the number of hands humans have is a spectrum!"
