It’s a straight relationship, with extra step

[–]Eurowoman24 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (8 children)

another reason most of us would never date them, even the ones with the necessary hardware. I'm hopefull most would feel as uncomfortable as I am larping as a lesbian.

[–]AnokiFrench 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

Yeah even as a bi girl , I know deep inside I would never date one of them, too many problems, but lesbians are the most pressured to , with gays and I feel sad for that

[–]Eurowoman24 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

same here, I do find that interesting though that you wouldn't. Don't know how bisexuality works so I hope I don't say something offensive, but the TRAs always say that bisexuals are more likely to go for them when advising each other on finding dates. Apart from the obvious turn off personality wise most seem to have, do you have a physical aversion like L, Gs and straights would?

[–]AnokiFrench 5 insightful - 3 fun5 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 3 fun -  (2 children)

Being bisexual is liking the two sexes , not every glittery gender identity ever , pansexuality exist for a reason and tra’s are saying a lot of lies just to feel validated, without the accord of said sexuality , and why personally i find then unattractive I want something stable, someone that look like a man or a woman while saying being one , not a mindfuck of a human being, and if someone say they are a woman I want to find woman genitalia under not male genitalia , and being stuck with someone psychological problem is not my thing, but these are my reasons

[–]Eurowoman24 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

makes sense! Thought I'd ask because they use bi-sexuals as a gotcha.

[–]AnokiFrench 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They think sex equal gender identity, so they tell this lie to feel validated, but not many bi people want to date them

Even though I wasn't the one you asked, would it be OK for me to give my 2 cents here? (What with my flair and all!)

In order to answer this question, I think we should first address the matter you mentioned before that: how bisexuality works.

Bisexuality is a sexual orientation. Like the others: homosexuality and heterosexuality. So it's about attraction to biological sex. In our case, both of them (male; female). Which means that it has nothing to do with "gender".

As to your question: given the above, I think that the answer would be "yes", for the same reasons it is with LGs/straight people-- namely, our attraction being sex-based. So if physical sex-characteristics are mixed up/altered... we can't respond to that; it's not what we're wired for. Same thing with substituting "gender" for sex. All of this is, in short, unnatural. And it affects us accordingly: as confusing, off-putting, and wrong. Which will most likely find expression in the form of physical aversion.

That date-seeking TRAs consider bi people their best bet is probably more a function of ignorance about/disrespect for bisexuality than anything else (except perhaps wishful thinking). Since we typically aren't recognized as a sexual orientation at all, bisexuality is understood to mean not caring about biological sex (either because we're "hearts not parts" or "anything that moves"). So anything-- from inverted dicks to frankenpeens to attraction being all about "gender"-- is automatically A-OK with us.

Additionally, I think that "liking both" is too often assumed to mean "liking any form of both"-- such as bodies medically-altered to (kinda sorta) approximate the opposite sex, and/or people who don't "identify" as their sex. Not so. First, we're probably going to perceive these individuals less as hawt-hermaphrodite "both"s than as uncanny-valley versions of their actual sex. Second, being bisexual means "liking" MEN and WOMEN, not manwomen/womanmen/gender-whatevers; combos aren't any more appealing than with your favorite foods (tuna salad sandwich and hot fudge sundae all mixed together, anyone?).

Thank you for taking the time to reply! I knew that bi-sexuality was a sexual orientation but based on the rhetoric out there I wasn't sure about some of the claims that can be found. Your answer clears things up!

[–]PenseePansyBio-Sex or Bust 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

You're very welcome! :) Glad to have been of help.

And parenthetically, your observation about not knowing how bisexuality works is an important one-- I've only just come to realize how much. Because, even though in this particular case (physical aversion to trans: yay or nay?), we're the same as LGs and straight people, it's nonetheless true that our sexuality IS fundamentally different from theirs. With respect to the very nature of it-- or, as you yourself put it: the way that it works.

Which doesn't mean that we're either some weird aliens or magical unicorns, of course-- sexual orientation being such a basic human trait, having one is the very essence of unremarkable. But having the only one that's not monosexual is pretty significant, I think. That fact needs to start being recognized without being stigmatized.

Oh, and I never meant to suggest that you didn't know bisexuality was a sexual orientation! Only pointing out that, where attraction to "trans" is concerned, ALL sexual orientations are, in effect, identical: they're sex, not gender, based. So faux-sex-characteristics/gender-identity won't work with ANY of them. It's as though the genderists have invented a sexuality for some alien species and are trying to impose it on humans, or something. "Just rewire your brains and reconfigure your basic psychology to find us attractive! No biggee, right? Next up: attraction based on blood type!" And overnight, on-demand evolution of telepathy and becoming silicon- rather than carbon-based lifeforms, probably.

Wowowowowowow would you look at that? A straight person making a raging religious homophobe think gay guys like female genitals! How progressive! /s also they fucking have separate "gay" and "Achillean mlm uwu" flags. Fuck off, Achilles would NOT support this bs gender stuff. It baffles me how they have taken the (relatively) pro-gay (male) Ancient Greeks and turned their figures into representatives of straight people. "Achillean" and "Sapphic" make me sick to my stomach.

[–]shveya 34 insightful - 1 fun34 insightful - 0 fun35 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

I've reached the point that whenever I see someone describe themselves as "sapphic" online, I assume it's a man.

I think there legit needs to be a shorthand term for lesbians and bisexual women though.

I'm gonna have to ask, why do some people use the term "MLM" instead of just Gay Man?

[–]julesburm1891 19 insightful - 13 fun19 insightful - 12 fun20 insightful - 13 fun -  (2 children)

Because these are the same people dumb enough to partake in multi-level marketing.

[–]Shadow_Lurker 11 insightful - 4 fun11 insightful - 3 fun12 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

If you think about it, this whole transgender thing is very similar to a pyramid scheme, with the usual suspects on top (medical industry, professional activists, celebrities, and so on) and the people who were shamed and scammed into accepting this shit uncritically (liberal feminists, twitter 'allies', parents that puberty-blocked their children) on the very bottom.

[–]fuck_reddit 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

This is the best answer.

[–]artetolife 7 insightful - 3 fun7 insightful - 2 fun8 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

It has the word men in it, so it's super validating!

[–]just_lesbian_things 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I think MLM includes bisexual men too. It's how WLW works- lesbian and bisexual women. I prefer it over "queer" or grouping bisexual women under the lesbian label. But mostly I just say lesbian and bisexual women if I'm referring to both.

[–]fuck_reddit 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I agree, WLW and MLM are definitely better than "queer," although I'm starting to dislike them as well because more TQ+ people are using MLM to describe themselves (without realizing they aren't men...). It's just nebulous enough now that they've defined away the words "man" and "woman" that I don't trust it.

[–]PenseePansyBio-Sex or Bust 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I'm gonna have to ask, why do some people use the term "MLM" instead of just Gay Man?

Could it ever be for reasons similar to those motivating the use of "MSM" (= men who have sex with men)? That term was devised during the 1990s by epidemiologists, so they could study STDs among men without issues of sexual identity getting in the way. Whether "MLM" ever serves that purpose (maybe as a euphemistic substitute?: "it's not about ew-y stuff like sex, it's about oh-so-wholesome LOVE!"), or is used in good faith at all, I don't know.

So, in the comic, the "antagonist" says that gays haven't had good enough pussy, but then the "protagonist" says that he has had good pussy on his "boy"friend.

So which group is supposed to be benefiting from this fake interaction? I can only assume from the comments that this is nothing but a pro T comic

There's some obscure ones I've never seen on that page, too. I'm pretty sure the "blue gay man" flag was created like, last year or something by someone on tumblr who shifted the lesbian colors and went "THIS IS FOR ALL MY PRECIOUS TRANS AND CIS MLM" lol

Don't understand what is wrong with the rainbow flag (aside from my opinion that all flags are stupid & something as personal and often problematic as sexuality should not be waved around like a fashion item, but hey)

Nah, they use it as a strawman for GamerGate. I think that's incredibly telling one of their villians is referencing a period 6-7 years ago when someone once said something mean on the internet that half of them still haven't gotten over and the other half wasn't even old enough to be there.

A pussy can't ever BE good for gay men! Because, as with beauty, pussy's "goodness" is in the eye (or more like lizard-brain) of the beholder.

So why should they "try" it? "Oh, even though I've got the gene that makes cilantro taste like Windex, I really oughtta keep attempting to gag it down, just in case! Maybe my DNA reshuffled itself when I wasn't looking!"
