Suddenly I’m craving Italian food. Or Mexican.

Next up: straight lesbians. For women who are attracted to women, but in a totally straight way. Exhibit A: Me in high school.

Well you see it's just that women are more attractive than men and, therefore, it's really not that strange that I think women are super attractive and that I would be attracted to them. And guys are OK I guess, but I don't really get what my friends see in the ones they're dating. Do they actually like them or are they just trying to fit in? I'm sure I'll find one I'm attracted to some day. It's just that these 1,000s of boys in my high school are for some reason all painfully unattractive but like half of them have hot girlfriends. What gives?

Sounds like a lesbian with very strong internalized homophobia living in homophobic society. I knew few lesbians and gays like that in USSR.

Lol yep so it was. It’s a sad mental place to be aware of your attraction for the same sex and not the opposite sex but to still draw the conclusion that you must actually like the opposite sex and just need to try harder and that your same-sex attraction isn’t real.

It was one of reasons why I had married. We even were working with sexologist, and tried everything, I really tried to like men and to get aroused from them. It was very exhausting experience. To my luck my ex-husband was very good and respecting human being, so it was not as harsh as it could be otherwise.

At first before I know homosexuality is a thing, I tried really hard to like men. And then after dating with a woman, and knowing who I am, I was wanting be become straight so all the hate will stop (I suffered physical attacks, got fired from job, etc), so again ended in "I wish I could like men, it would make life so much easier".

And now TRA comes and saying "sexuality is just a preference", "it is easy to unlearn your genital bias for homosexuals". I wish their words were true and we really could change our sexual orientation, but sadly, they are full of bullshit and are just plain homophobia.
