Back to panhandling for surgery

Now that the kerfluffle has died down over someone having the temerity to organize a "Mens Gathering," my formerly gay male, now TQ+ dominated online group is back to the usual posts by transwomen asking for donations for cosmetic surgery in the midst of a fucking pandemic where whole families are begging for money to pay their rent outside my local grocery store.

Allow me to quote: "I need your help if I wanna finish this transition by summer 2022 and hopefully wear a bikini."

How self-centered do you have to be to be asking people for money for unnecessary surgery at at time like this -- all so you can wear a bikini? Seriously?

If gender dysphoria isn't a mental illness (like people who say that bollocks above claim it to not be), then I see no need in my money going towards paying for fucking surgery. Most of the transitioning process is purely cosmetic... and cosmetic alterations have to be paid for! What a shocker!

Ah! The fundamental contradiction of the modern transgender movement: I's not a mental illness until we need it to be.

The WHO took transgenderism away from the DSM using the premise that one doesn't need to have gender disphoria or gender identity disorder in order to identify themselves as transgender.*

The problem is that once the mental illness label go away, the obligation of the government to provide free surgeries for them also goes away.

Funny isn't?

*this also makes the differentiation between real disphoric people from fetishists impossible, by the way. Based on this we can assume that people at the WHO also thinks that the two are the same.

There are surgeries that I could get to make me look and feel more feminine and probably make me feel much much better about myself and my "gender." Why can't I get them free?

Yeah, the panhandling pisses me off, too. I've felt this way long before the pandemic hit. Since many LGB people struggle with poverty, every dollar we have to our names counts. Getting mad at us for not donating to your surgery fund is tone deaf.

I doubt that 90% of the women I know have ever worn a bikini to the beach. But of course there's no point in transitioning just to be like average women, they all must become glamour models. Also breast implants aren't a one-and-done deal, there's a good chance they'll need follow up surgery and eventual replacements, so nobody should be having it done if they don't have the means to pay for all of that.

Ever seen the TV show "Botched"? Many stories of implants gone wrong.

I haven't, but breast augmentation is by far the most popular cosmetic surgery here so it stands to reason that there are so many botched cases.
