They do in visual and most of it will translate in behaviour too, most of the time. Society just expect to always been a male and a female, even were it is the same sex.

Femininity disparaged by society? Yeah, it is called misogyny. But lesbians? I guess in the lesbian community has been influenced a lot by heteronormativity and stereotypes and the fact that lesbian spaces aren't a thing anymore, it is actually a good thing for not having the peer pressure of following stereotypes. I had read that in the past the peer pressure of heteronormativity in lesbian spaces were horrible, couple of both masculine women were hated, both feminine were not taken seriously, only butch and femme reproducing an hetero couple were respected. Personally, I think people who really seriously use the femme and butch labels will be a walking gender stereotypes and reproduce heteronormative in the relationships. The best are neutral girls, who look average and I think are most lesbians, not masculine, but not even be look obsessed hiper-femme, and they will not use these labels and will be usually interested in girls like them.
