I recently was in a position where I had to clarify that I’m attracted to natal biological females. Female used to be enough. Then biological female. Then natal biological female. And now natal biological female is apparently not enough because I was asked to define that and was told that phenotypically there are trans women who are INDISTINGUISHABLE from women and so it’s not possible for me to only be attracted to women basically. And so I asked if he was saying I didn’t know my own sexual orientation and he said that if I’m defining that way that that is correct (except with weasel words. He wouldn’t say “yes you don’t know your sexual orientation.” I clarified that I could not question his gender identity though and he said that was correct bc it would be transphobic. And also I wasn’t “allowed to say that his girlfriend wasn’t a lesbian.” I didn’t even know he had one. He just proactively told me that. WHAT. THE. FUCK. They are absolutely getting bolder. I hope what’s going down in the UK releases a huge tidal wave across the West but it will also hurt us gays in the process.
