A post against same sex attraction posted on AL, this is so hilarious. That sub should disappear from the earth

it's sickening how reddit has allowed subs that are supposed to be BY and FOR women to be run by men. AL and TwoX are prime examples.

I find it interesting how the first comment is about us being on "the wrong side of history." That they even care what history will think of them is telling, this is just some virtue signalling boner they all have. There often isn't a right or wrong side in history, history is written by the winners, they see things in such black and white terms that you really gotta wonder about their critical thinking skills.

they lie about history anyway. "Trans people started stonewall AND gave you ALL of your lgb rights!". Bitch, over the course of 30 years being active in the lgb community I knew all of 4 transsexuals. Fuck off with that nonsense.

This happens with LGB people on this sub too, though. "Omg old gay activists of America gave you, a non-American, all your rights so BE GRATEFUL." Like no... I have no "LGB rights," can Americans stop pretending they're the saviors of the world for one minute?

The entire LGBT is trash and full of historical innacuracy, in fact I'd say it's even built on it. Because real facts would disprove most of the main claims, so they can't be dealing with that

"the wrong side of history."

It's also just an incredibly childish way to look at the world. So many people nowadays go through life like they're in a fucking movie or something. Sorry there's no moustache-twirling Bond villain in some mountain lair, life is not some comic book movie. It's so infuriating when people discuss politics this way.

These are the same homophobic trash goblins who call lesbians & gays "genital fetishists" and spew shit about "genital preference".

The hypocrisy is over 9000.

[–]denverkrisMy pronouns are Vodka?/Yes!/please 9 insightful - 3 fun9 insightful - 2 fun10 insightful - 3 fun -  (6 children)

Just don't try to argue with them on that one. Yes, people have "genital preferences". Some people don't like tiny dicks, some people don't like giant dicks, some people don't like any dicks. Not a difficult concept.

[–]oofreesouloo⚡super lesbian⚡ 18 insightful - 1 fun18 insightful - 0 fun19 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

I'm not sure I agree with you. If someone's a lesbian, a homosexual female, it's already part of the sexuality not liking any dicks, it isn't a "genital preference". The same applies for gay men with pussies. The only people who could have a vagina vs penis genital preference would bisexual people because they like both sexes. Genital preferences for lesbians would be WITHIN vaginas (trimmed, totally shaved, not shaved, big labia, small labia, etc) and for gay men WITHIN penis (big, small, tiny, like you said).

[–]denverkrisMy pronouns are Vodka?/Yes!/please 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

I agree with you, i just think it's pointless to argue with them is all. I'd be like "fine, yes, I have a genital preference. Or, I just think you're a dick, either way I'm not going to date/fuck you.".

"and for gay men WITHIN penis (big, small, tiny, like you said)."

Yes, this.

I think most people's first reaction is to try to "defend" themselves, and I don't see any point in doing that, because you can't use reason or logic with these people. Just say "ok" and move along.

[–]oofreesouloo⚡super lesbian⚡ 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Oh, sorry, I misinterpreted you then. Yes, I agree with you, these people are not very good friends with logic indeed lmao.

[–]denverkrisMy pronouns are Vodka?/Yes!/please 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Haha, ya. I'm just saying, let them call you whatever name they want to call you, and just nod and be like "hmm, ok, well whatever" and move along. Takes the wind right out of their sails.

[–]Midcentury 8 insightful - 2 fun8 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

No.

Firstly, its not a "preference" its an orientation. I didn't choose to be homosexual, so you can drop that shit.

Second, as a homosexual man dicks are non-negotiable. I can "prefer" any dick within the dick universe, but its still a dick.

I really wonder why heterosexual men aren't being castigated for their orientation towards vaginas......hmmmmmmmmmm

And then they get to lie about our history to young impressionable baby lesbians and gloat about "terfs downvoting".... Yeah cus we've all been banned from the only "lesbian sub" left for being actual real lesbians.

I'm trying really hard not to resent trans people but it gets harder everytime I see a post from AL.

[–]julesburm1891 38 insightful - 3 fun38 insightful - 2 fun39 insightful - 3 fun -  (2 children)

One of them had the gall to say, “they’re just mad the biggest lesbian subreddit accepts trans women.” Uh, you had every lesbian sub that didn’t accept transwomen banned. You gave lesbians literally no choice.

[–]hellonumpty 25 insightful - 1 fun25 insightful - 0 fun26 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

There was a thread by a trans woman about how lesbians talking about when straight men say, "how do you know you're a lesbian if you've never gave dick a try" makes 'her' feel excluded and some of the comments were of frustration. I think one said she was uncomfortable how often she was hearing that not wanting dick is a negative trait. So, not only did they run every other lesbian sub off the platform, they are continuing to make that sub uncomfortable for any lesbian who still manages to post there.

Lesbians are probably the smallest population of that sub.

[–]julesburm1891 17 insightful - 1 fun17 insightful - 0 fun18 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah. I saw that too. The five lesbians left on that sub voiced frustration and then the comments got locked.

Did you know that if I pretend the word SEX means the act of copulation rather than the state of being male or female then I can accuse Christians of bad things??

I'm so sick of this trash playing three card monte with the definitions of words whenever they want. You know exactly what same-sex means in this context, Aiden.

[–]CleverNickName 24 insightful - 5 fun24 insightful - 4 fun25 insightful - 5 fun -  (0 children)

Right? Always with the Definitions-Parkour so they can twist everyone's words to suit their needs.

It's also, of course, pure projection: Changing into another "gender" is always just a means for them to force someone "previously" unwilling to have sex with them. Especially lesbians and/or women in general.

[–][deleted] 27 insightful - 1 fun27 insightful - 0 fun28 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

What the fuck do they think homosexuality means? Or is that fucking offensive now.

[–]denverkrisMy pronouns are Vodka?/Yes!/please 24 insightful - 1 fun24 insightful - 0 fun25 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I remember where it came from. "Same-sex" originated within academic discussions in the 1990s to avoid anachronistic use of terms like "gay" or "homosexual" prior to a point in history when those terms existed. It was very much from the Foucauldian school of thought, and it's all through academic essays from that time. So, for example, you could discuss "same-sex" relationships in ancient Greece without precisely mapping our concepts of it onto ancient Greek culture.

That's when we still believed that sex was real. I always encourage people to use the word 'sex' whenever applicable rather than 'gender.' Using 'gender' only continues to provide energy to the concept.

Sex is real. Gender is made up.

[–][deleted] 19 insightful - 1 fun19 insightful - 0 fun20 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It continues to boggle my mind that these people cannot understand that sex and sexuality are inextricably interwoven.

Homosexual people are attracted to people who are the same sex as them. Dressing the opposite sex up, maiming their bodies, identifying as a different 'gender' does not make them the same sex.

If this simple, basic, fundamental truth and reality could be respected, we could move the fuck on with our lives. But, alas, it seems that the current transgender activist movement is fundamentally homophobic.

Prager U are homophobic? They have openly gay people working for them. Dennis Prager has a niece and a nephew who are both gay. Not a fan of Prager U because they are neocons but still.

I am same-sex attracted. That's what being gay is. If that means agreeing with Christian fundamentalists, so be it. Doesn't make me a fundamentalist, I'm just a regular pick-and-choose Roman Catholic.

From a (heavily upvoted) comment further down the chain:

Is [the women in the video] actually comfortable with gay people, or is she just comfortable with the gay people who "act straight?"

[...] it's just a concession so that she can hate on trans people more without seeming like as much of a bigot. It's impossible for me to accept that someone with such misogynistic views could be even remotely lg(b?) Accepting.

This is why the TQ+ narcissists need to leave and leave fast. "You don't accept me, therefore you can't possibly tolerate any LGB people at all, in fact, you probably don't despite saying you do."

This mindset is dangerous and is probably the reason LGB(T) tolerance is decreasing. Any attempts at tolerance are shut down and perceived as disingenuine, so why bother?

Also if anyone can elaborate on "gay people who act straight" I would appreciate it because what does this even mean

feel like this is about "homonormatives" who just want to be able to marry and fuck in the privacy of our homes and not be fired from our jobs and lead normal lives, as opposed to those much more oppressed kweers who want to dress like clowns and wear diapers in public or whatever

Your tone is comical but it's basically a true statement lol. The genderdumbs love to insist that "gay" is an identity and not a sexuality. I actually started arguing with these people over 10 years ago but they were generally perceived as kooks at first. Someone who was a paid staffer at a university LGBT center was adamantly trying to argue with me that the "straight" men on grindr were actually straight because gay and straight were identities. I think I really threw her off because she was used to having some sort of "expert credibility" and I'm really blunt. I basically said that they were just gays living in denial and her idea of gay as an identity was idiotic. She was just like "O_O" and dropped it. Now these people are backed up by hordes of twitterattis.

Good. Show how crazy you are, straight men of r/AL who know fuck all about the demographic they pretend to be part of. Peak all of the wayward lesbians who discovered r/AL in the past week and are wondering wtf is going on.

Changing “gay marriage” to “same-sex” is out of respect for bisexuals and for the sake of clarity. It describes the nature of the marriage itself not the orientation of those who entered into it. This change was also made at a time that “gay” was being used as in insult, at least in the U.S., and so it was a much less charged term.

[–]OPPRESSED_REPTILIANIntersex male | GNC | Don't call me "a gay", "twink" or "queen" 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

What if our relationships ARE all about fucking? What if there is no "love" for some of us? Is that really so bad to them, even though it's rampant among straight people too?

Why does same sex attraction need to be "sanitized", PG-13 and all about "love"? Sure, love and emotional connections are ideal. But it's not a realistic goal for most people. Especially males. I have never loved a man and I don't think I ever will, let alone be loved by one back. Does this mean that I'm "invalid" and don't qualify as "LGBT enough", because I see things realistically, and I won't delude myself by saying it's about "love" when it's not? So be it.

God that thread hurt my brain. I can't even follow the thought processes. It's just mental jibberish with a lot of gratuitous misogyny. They can't seem to decide if sex is indeed real or a 'western construct'. Reminds me of the religious right in the 90s trying to argue that evolution isn't real, on the basis that they didn't understand it. Go talk to an evolutionary biologist, or a geneticist, or something. The groupthink consensus of a bunch of pornsick Tumblr addicts does not reality make.

What fresh Historical Revisionism is this?

TRAs keep downplaying the importance of physical attraction to Sexual Orientation because they know how debilitating it is to their narrative, in light of how truscum and especially tucute can't pass as the opposite sex. They constantly denigrate same-sex attraction as something only brainless beasts value, that it is beneath lgbtq+ humans, who should be too 'enlightened' and 'progressive' for those lizard brain instincts. I hate these pretentious saps. They certainly seem to sing a different tune the moment one declines sex because of any "genital preferences" though.

If sex is so primitive, base, and Neanderthalish then you certainly don't need to have ANY, transcendent super-human. Maybe you and an enby can get together and rub your compatible brains together.
