If you’re the one that can hear the dog whistle, you’re the dog.

What does Political lesbian have to do with TERF? Am I not realising something here? What? 😅

You'd think that they'd support political lesbians, considering that they like non-lesbian lesbians so much.

For real. They like "transbians" so damn much, you'd think they'd respect political lez

[–]8bitgay 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

It isn't even only about transbians, I'm sure they also support bi lesbians, non-binary lesbians, etc.

As long as they're not really lesbians. That's why they love the world queer, since it doesn't mean anything. And lack of clear definition is better for their nonsense ideology

I'm ambivalent about it. At one hand I find the word/identity queer very problematic for many reasons. On the other hand, frankly I wish all of these people would just identify themselves only as queer (since they love the word so much) instead of calling themselves gay/lesbian and demanding to be part of our communities.

They don't, they even use the word on us homosexuals.

They are replacing "lesbian" with this word almost every single news or topic on big sites I've seen.

In fact

[–]8bitgay 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, I know. I find it amusing how they change words depending on the situation.

A gay/lesbian person did something good or was a victim of homophobia? They're a queer person, they suffered LGBTQphobia, they were oppressed for being queer, etc.

They want to complain about something? Suddenly it's the gay community, the lesbian community, the gay/lesbian people...

What propaganda they're spieling out is just a bunch of jumbled up nonsensical bollocks and hogwash to indoctrinate other millennials and centennials to recruit them on the "right think" side. Tired of this bs as a centennial.

brainwashing the next generation. next they will say the word homosexual is a terf dogwhistle

[–][deleted] 15 insightful - 1 fun15 insightful - 0 fun16 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

homosexual is a terf dogwhistle

They've been saying that on Twitter for ages, and it's been bleeding over into Reddit for at least a year, if not more.

Oh how I wish you had seen our ModLog on Reddit. Ceddit can only tell a a small part of the story.

They're getting there.

LGB subs getting banned as "promoting hate" when we stand up for sexual orientation? I never thought I'd see the day, but here we are.

As we didn't know that this ideology is homophobia as its finish

I've noticed most self-identified queer people can't even describe what it means to them. They treat it like a religion, all based on belief and individual feeling with no actual explanation to why they're so attached to the word.

[–]Uranian 9 insightful - 5 fun9 insightful - 4 fun10 insightful - 5 fun -  (0 children)

Queer either means a fat straight woman with "interesting" hair, unflattering glasses and a liking for plaid shirts or a skinny straight man with "interesting" hair and terrible make-up wearing clown clothes.

They respect nothing because they have no real investment in this other than their own self-absorption and narcissism.

I like people using the word queer on themselves because I take it as code for "I am an emotionally damaged attention-seeker" and stay the fuck away from them. But I don't want them calling me or anyone else who is LGB that word.

There was a "queer umbrella" and we were all forced under it. Fine. But Queer means something else now, something separate from LGB, so why would LGB still be included in it? Queer has its own letter under the LGBTQOMGWTF+-!@123 so they need to leave us alone.

They don't want to define queer, they want to just run around moving the goalposts and keep everyone permanently confused. But they need LGB and T because our existence legitimizes them. Without us, they'd just be blue haired weirdos that nobody likes.

As young adult even I feel uncomfortable when that word gets used. I hate to see others use it.

I'm a young adult also, and I'm glad there's people like you I can relate to.

So...the TRA want to use derogatory words like queer and calling people coloured person when that was considered racist in the American history, was it not?

But...if we call them by the wrong pronoun, then we're "cishet, transphobic bigoted TERF scum!!"

Their "offensive" words toward normal people is hilarious. We're a "terf" for not agreeing? Like a turf of grass? How is that offensive? Or cishet? What the fuck is a cis? Transphobic??? We are not in fear of the trans people(-phobic). Wouldn't it be "transsexism" to be more...accurate? Or even "trancist" or however it works in the English language.

Oh well, linguistics does not seem to be their strong suit...I will credit the TRA for using the word "scum", now THAT is an actual offensive word. Good job.

I think this might be a troll comment on ruqqus, or maybe a really crazy person, because they told me to "eDuCaTe YoUrSeLf." Like look nugget, YOU need to educate yourself because q***r was used as a slur and it meant odd unusual or weird. https://imgur.com/a/vlgE3h9

As a gen z'r (22, I believe is gen z, unfortunately for me) I feel extremely detached from my generation and embarrassed to be associated with this type of behaviour by older generations. It's actually insane that they seem to just want to pretend this word wasn't extremely offensive and followed with violence for a lot of older lgb and t's who genuinely just wanted to live there lives not harming anyone.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I'm glad not everyone in those two generations are like that. Thanks for your insight. Also, gen z/centennials is 1995-2009 so you're right that you're gen z.
